What about when you go to Group-AF? How does the that affect the number of focus points / cross type? When I shoot Group-AF, I typically shoot between f/5.6-f8 to ensure the depth of filed is deep enough to keep animal faces and/or small animals sharp. I'd be interested to learn how the focus points change when changing to Group-AF. Again, thanks for the great information.

Eye tracking will get better over the years. At the moment it's not reliable in many situations 😊

When you're using Group-AF, the centre can be positioned on any of the 55 points available for selection.
