Probably the most honest detailing channel !

I liked Pans channel just based off of how many products he’s put on film. Just starting into the detailing world it’s overwhelming. I was recalling looking forward to his best products of 2024 video to come out to compare with previous years and get better products to fit my situation. The moment I saw his product lineup video I couldn’t believe it. I agree with you, in the terms that once he came out with a product lineup he needed to step away from the product review portion.

Thanks very much for an honest review!! I'm sure there are other honest reviews, but the "conflict of interest" issue frequently needs to be considered. I have no problem with folks like DIY Detail and EC Details (Eddie Colon) having their own product lines and also a RUclips channel. Neither channel claims their products are the #1 best, like Pan does. DIY Detail shows you how to detail different parts of the car and provides lots of great tips. Although they use their own products, they don't push their products like Pan's infomercials.. It was quite a while before I realized EC Details even had their own product line. Eddie reviews a wide variety of products, some of which they sell on their House of Rags website, but if something sucks, I have confidence Eddie would say so. Keep up the good work as I am now a happy subscriber to your channel.

Great points. Thanks for sharing the info about monetization, as I'm not eligible for it yet, and I was curious about the rates for our topic. I agree with sponsored videos, but it is actually a hard topic. When you make a video about a brand that is a sponsor of this video, it makes your video biased, but I'm not sure if any brand will agree to put its sponsored ad inside a video about a different brand, so maybe that is why some people decide to sell their ass and make every video only about brands who decide to become their sponsors 😄

As for the first time in front of a camera you are looking pretty confident 👍 Lol, I was afraid that DA polisher will be next to land on the hood 😄😄 Honestly I was surprised with the results, I did not expect Nu finish to disappear so fast, and did not expect Griot's to be so durable. I believe now Griot's ceramic spray is the best in the world, period? 😄

I miss the days of when forums were quite active. Those allowed for exploration, good praise and fair criticism. I liked Pan’s awards shows b/c even if his pockets got lined, his winners were really good products. Done with Pan though.

Really great test here, loved how you set it up. The only thing I would have changed is maybe to replace the boutique paste wax with a Meguires Ultimate paste wax or something like that which is more readily available. After watching all of your testing I would have chosen the TW for paste and spray in the conclusion (especially considering the price difference here and now for me is quite minimal for the sprays). Really surprised you picked the other paste in your conclusion, it seemed like TW beat it soundly in your testing. I was debating between trying the paste wax or the liquid wax, so this really helped me to decide. Thanks!

Insightful video! I agree with everything you said. FYI, in the U.S. you are legally required by the FTC to warn the audience if a product was free and if there are any obligations or payment you have to put “hashtag ad” on the video. You then must check the box that there is an ad in the video and that ls where the ethics comes in as you will lose reach by doing these things and ad’s are less likely to be run on your video lowering revenue. You are also required to put a warning in your description about affiliate links by most companies terms of service. I myself would only sign an NDA for embargo and would accept no other term for a free product which I rarely get because they are honest reviews and not a guaranteed sell. I also inform them if the product doesn’t meet my standard it won’t make a video.

Great videos. With the new popularity..........and being in cold climate. Cover some products we might apply for best winter performance. Nobody really knows what happens to everything when the temps get below freezing or even well below like 0 Degrees F. Huge car markets in harsh winters...Chicago, Minneapolis, Detroit. Cold weather guys would love it.

I have a new car and would love to keep it in great shape. I've used some Griots products but I would love to know what you think of the SudsLab products that are available in WalMart. I've been using some of those and they seem to do a good job. But what are your picks? I'm not a detailer, just a guy with a car who wants to keep it clean and protected.

pretty informative for someone look to see how to make money on youtube. Far as RUclips detailing channels, I generally watch OG, DIY Details(Yvan shares a lot of good basic info), The Rag Company, EC Details, and Chicago Auto Pros. Some I will watch if I am researching a specific product.

Sonax is far too underrated. I'm not one to worry about branding but the orange bottles make the products look amateurish.

I really do like 3D One for a one polish fits all. It works really well and is my go to for troublesome sticky paint. The only downside is the wipe off can be a little greasy. The Gold Standard is on my list to try at some point.

I got another question, hope you can handle it... Sonax Bsd , ultra slick or their ceramic spray, you can only choose 2, which ones?

What does it say on the sonax bottle? Ive never seen that label with so many words before...

Great vid man and love your approach to all this product testing. One of my biggest gripes for a long time now is watching a truly honest review by any of these other channels. I don't want sugar coatings. I don't want someone to be nice and find all the positives especially since you've been given the products for free. If you dislike it or you think its garbage then say it! If you think its a waste of money, say that too! Some of these channels that started off small time, if you watch their early stuff, you could tell they spoke candidly. It wasn't until they got more views and subscribers and these companies started sending them free stuff did the candidness disappear. Your either doing this gig to genuinely help others or your in it for monetary reasons. Which is it because I'd rather support one over the other.
