Believe it or not,...it is January 2025. The Future is now. Robots and Artificial Intelligence, are commonplace,....cars as proto- types, can fly ,..using many small propellers,....Anti-gravity STILL does not exist, average humans do not fly around with personal JET Packs, but they exist. I was 7 in 1960, and now I am 71. Truth be told,....I wish I could go back to 1960. Before JFK & RFK & MLK were killed, right before the 4 Mop-Top, teens from Liverpool, landed in the USA. The Time Machine captured my imagination.

Credit to the sound guys on this movie. The alien ships have a serpentine look to them and the sound when they are coming out of the crater is like a rattlesnake shaking its tail.

Another great 50’s Sci/fi

Was showing this movie in school to 5th graders a good thing? I'm not really sure. I was in 5th grade at school when I saw War of the Worlds. I really have no idea how wise it is to show 5th graders. I don’t remember a whole lot of the movie, but I knew watching this clip someone was gonna die. I didn't realize it was gonna be all three of them. Yeah, don’t remember much. I do remember how the aliens die. That I haven't forgotten.

Uuuummmm i wont give all the accolades it deserves cause 66 now and adored this since a 9 -10 yr old . What i will say is what i said as a kid .No he wouldnt lose his time machine forever cause its a time machine .Set the date to 15 or 20 or whatever seconds ahead . Sit in chair and watch it reappear in just a few seconds .OOOORRRR if you hadnt built the big one yet set the date 1 year in advance and write a note to yourself and attach to seat that says Dear me ,Hi im you in the past , i need you to write down every sizeable sporting event , lottery numbers just anything i can make more necessary money on to help build bigger one and send it back to me a few minutes on this date ,Thanks Me !! Ok ok the ooooorrrr part was me as a got older but you get the picture .
