What if i have a wall mount and there is no room between the wall and the tv on the bottom back. Can i place the strip on the very bottom of the tv instead of back?

I’m using Home Assistant along with an Android phone, but I’m having trouble getting my Aqara sensor to show up in Home Assistant. I’ve already tried a few things like unplugging the sensor, rebooting both my sensor and Home Assistant, and reinstalling the HomeKit Bridge integration,Homekit device but the sensor still doesn’t appear. Could you please provide some additional troubleshooting tips or suggestions to help me resolve this issue? Thanks!

Hi man. Quick question. Can you handle your smart home from HA to HomeKit away from home like you’d normally do having home kit smart home alone with HomePod etc or you have to expose it with some sort of cloud or a hub HomePod like?

Apple Home can use a app name Avery Home for Homekit, it can make a nice 3d floor plan and a amazing way to control your smart way.

Did you set a seperate light for each recessed light or just one in the room somewhere?

Why would you want to have 4 different places to do automations? I could see not wanting to use home assistant but that looks like a lot of overhead when it could all be in home assistant.

Followed your steps and have things mostly working but tap_action: toggle is only working for the last entry. For example, I have a room with four entities (Lights 1-4) and can see four separate icons on the map. The last entry in the yaml is Light 4 and that works. Lights 1-3, however, do not work and when hovering show a 'more info' popup for Light 4. Any ideas?

Awesome tutorial. When I turn on more than 2 lights in a Mobile View, the images are stacked and rotated on each other. Works perfect on desktop view but not mobile view. Any suggetion please?

my code wont save after I try to add the second light! I copy and paste the change the images path and entities but the script will go away even after I hit save and nothing happens ! I only have the 1st initial light

Great stuff! Only took me a couple of hours to set up dashboard for an outbuilding with a few lights. What would also be pretty cool would be to show motion somehow based on motion sensors being triggered. I suppose it could work exactly like lights, just have to figure out what use to indicate motion being sensed... I'll fool around with it and see if using motion sensor entities would also work. Thanks for this!

I have been waiting to upgrade my mini 4. Though I feel bad for peeps that recently paid 499.00 for the 64 gig mini 6. P.S. the mini 6 case is on eBay for 25.00. It is compatible with the mini 7. Bought a new one in burnt orange before people twig and the prices shoot up! Then with the money saved, buy a plug which no longer comes with the I pad 😞. I have an I phone 13 USBC plug so can use that.

My wife uses her ipad mini 6 for her on the field work and reports. The only upgrade she wants is a higher nit brightness as she works outside. Looking forward to a huge nit ncrease in the iPad mini 7 but I haven't seen much news about it.

I got it all working but cant get the Opacity to change the brightness of the overlayed Light image depending on the brightness of the entity - is something missing from your sample code to get that to work ? thanks again

Should people buy it? If you want it-- Sure. The mini still is the most mobile and hand-friendly tablet out there in my opinion. The 8GB RAM, 128GB storage and binned A17 Pro will get you far. Should mini 6 users upgrade to it? for general casual users and avid note takers-- No Only beneficiaries for the update are people into iPad gaming and heavy iPad multi-taskers. My biggest gripe with the update-- Apple locking the compatibility to Apple Pencil Pro.

I feel that was a slap in the face to the iPad Mini users. I think I am going to just get the iPad Air M2 11” inch version now that I don’t take my iPad everywhere anymore because I now use the iPhone 16 Pro Max in it’s place.

You didn’t even talk about the most important thing : the display !!! I want an iPad mini so bad but no OLED and no Pro Motion is impossible for me. Switching from an OLED-ProMotion display to this LCD the difference is too visible and annoying

Delyn, I was so excited to finally get my hands on the iPad mini as my go-to iPad. I want to replace my 11-inch Pro so I can carry my MacBook Air and the mini everywhere. I can't seem to settle for a mini without ProMotion. I guess I'll wait for the next one, or maybe Apple will release a mini Pro. lol

This is the most ridiculous update apple has ever released. Literally a waste of my time. i'll be keeping my 6. It would have been better do nothing at all.

The iPhone audio mixer doesn’t sound that great. What microphone do you use for your videos? The sound of your voice sounds great. The iPhone sounded distorted.

I can't use a variable in the style attribute to dynamically change the opacity. Any ideas why? If I set the value fix to e.g. "0.5" it works but with your opacity snippet and my sensor it doesn't work.

Love it man. There is nothing like seeing your kid get excited about smart home stuff. Kudos on the setup, the twist with govee was a smart idea. I don’t have anything this fancy, but my 4 year old daughter has a lamp and sconce with hue bulbs, a VOCOlinc humidifier (which has terrible color) and a Hue light strip that lines the back of a teepee/tent type thing in her room. She loves the different colors and I have a flic button on her bed post in case she needs to get up in the night, it’ll turn her tent hue strip to 10% on a warm setting. Thanks for the content

Thanks for your video. You've got a new subscriber as I’m currently planned to install Home Assistant and uses it with HomeKit. I just have a question. Instead of removing all my accessories currently managed in Homekit, insert them in Home Assistant and reinsert them in HomeKit, do you think it's possible to use "HomeKit Device" plugin which "allows you to connect accessories with the Works with HomeKit logo to Home Assistant" ?

Any change that would work with color-changing lights? Or at different parts of the day (by using a much darker base image at night)?

Do I understand correctly that in any case you have to install the device in home assistant first and then you can use it by using the bridge in HomeKit, too. It’s not possible to use a HomeKit device directly in home assistant?

what about the audio on call ? versus the iphone 15 pro max? Does the 4 mics make any difference?
