Hi, I do have a cost breakdown ready. I've been planning to make a video about it but haven't had the chance yet. I'll add it to my schedule and cover what I paid initially and the cost if you were to do it now. DIY is definitely worth it. When I was looking for a club car, similar refurbished models were priced between $10K and $15K. The trick is to buy a used cart at a good price and shop around for parts. Newer batteries will also help cut costs. I bought my cart for $3,500, and prices have since dropped due to lower demand. At the time, the price was higher in my area. In total, I spent just under $7K, excluding an upgrade to lithium batteries. About a year and a half later, I installed new Trojan T-875 batteries, which cost $950. Lithium batteries are much more expensive, but the standard batteries work perfectly fine for me, giving my cart a top speed of 24-25 MPH with the original motor and controller. I've also seen a number of used ones that have been sort of flipped by someone already. I have seen heavy fluctuations in price (possibly seasonally). We are hoping to get one in the next year or two and trying to see what avenue makes the most sense in terms of cost and not knowing what we don't know. Thanks for your series on your cart flip! The used cart market can indeed be quite volatile, with prices fluctuating based on factors like season, condition, and demand. If you’re planning to buy in the next year or two, keeping an eye on trends and possibly setting up alerts for when prices drop can be a good strategy. Sometimes buying off-season or during periods when demand is lower can get you a better deal. I would also stick with known brands, Club Car, E-Z-GO, and Yamaha, Preferably Club Car. These carts have easy to find parts and you'll have options to buy on different websites. There are some really nice Chinese golf carts out there, the problem is trying to get replacement parts or after market parts. In most cases you'll be required to buy parts from the dealer. The three brands that I mentioned seem to be reliable. I like the club car because parts are easy to find, and the aluminum frame is solid. E-Z-GO seems to have better options for after market bodies. Yamaha comes with a really nice stock suspension similar to a car. I have a rotted hole on one of the hinges . Does this cement will just hold that extra hinge? The others are ok .

@@ae86takumi If you can remove the rot and replace it with a wooden block, that’s the best approach. While you're at it, use longer screws to reach the door’s framing for added stability. You can typically find this material at The Home Depot or Lowes in the door trim section. They usually sell single sections, but worst case scenario, you might need to buy a kit that includes three pieces: one for the top and one for each side. This often happens when doors are exposed to the elements without adequate coverage, especially during rainy summers. I've noticed it's less common if the front entry provides enough shelter from direct rain. To address this, the best approach is to seal the area with outdoor caulk and apply paint for added protection.

Cool! I have another technique I use for toasting a three day old a bagel. After slicing it, I reassemble it and lightly moisten the outer surface with water, ensuring not to saturate or overly dampen the inside. Then, I place the prepared slices into the toaster. Thanks for watching!!

Hi, Bondo is much more durable and dries a lot faster. Regular wood filler seems to take too long to dry especially when the cavity is deep. I use Bondo to get the shape to where I need it (after sanding), and then I use wood filler or spackle for a fine top coat to fill any imperfections. After the wood filler or spackle is dry, I'll do a final sand or repeat the process until it looks good. You can used Bondo All-Purpose Putty, or Bondo wood filler, as long as it's Bondo you'll be good. Feel free to reach out with anymore questions. Thanks for Watching!!

@@jane1385 I personally haven't done this kind of work for approximately four years. That video was filmed in 2018, I was hesitant to upload it because I was unsure of the You tube thing. Any new videos that I'm physically doing, are for my house. I've considered possible doing a new door jamb repair video, I just need to find a rotted door jamb to work on. I either have to convince someone to allow me to do it, or have one of the contractors cut out a section from a project that we work on (if the door is being replaced).

Hi, You have great taste! lol, Unfortunately I don't have a video that shows that process. There are a few ways to cut that tile. you can use a grinder with a diamond tile blade, a wet saw, a manual tile cutter, you'll have to score the tile, then break, just like you would any other tile when using that option. Another option that works good is a hand held glass cutter and tile cutter. They work the same as the manual tile cutter, you'll to score it, then break it. I use a mixture of all the options. If you only want one option, the grinder is the most versatile because you can cut different shapes, and use it for multiple applications. The scoring options will give you a cleaner cut in most cases without chipping along the cut edge, but it's a little more difficult to cut shapes to go around obstacles with that option. I also use a file to clean the cuts up. Below I have links to some inexpensive tool options with good reviews. Hi, Thanks for pointing that out. You are correct, the extra front filter is not shown in the instructions. I went back and looked at it, and doesn't show. I added the one in the back because the unit as shipped with one behind the charcoal filter. I assumed it was supposed to be like that. I should of taken a better look at the instructions. This is not my house, the homeowner made a decision on what rout to go regarding the repair. It's not being cheap if you only have a specific budget for a project.

Hi! Thanks! below you'll find a link for a 80" top on Amazon, it's like the one I have, it says 80" but the total length is 83", and it seems to come with the mounting brackets. The link for this top is for a Club Car Precedent, but they have other golf cart options. I also included a 84" top that is different then the one I have. If you click on the link, you'll also see other options. Be sure to pay attention to the brand of the golf cart that you have. The tops are usually universal, the only difference will be the brackets used to mount the top. The link below for the MJFX 84" top dose not include the mounting brackets. Everything was good for running the wires to where they go. After that, the instructions on where and how to hook the wires up to the cart are terrible. The excuse was that he ran low on his battery. He didn’t show anything about where to hook the kit wires into the cart wires under the dash.
