Hi Mal, your videos are good and very instructive, as always, but considering that this house plan is for Ghana, you have some mistakes: 1- Fireplace??? I don’t think that’s a reasonable choice considering the climate profile of Ghana. 2- Your solution to the outdoor kitchen is very reasonable, but it’s not practical for privacy reasons. The staff need to have their own space and don’t clash with the owners of the house. You don’t want to have them always hovering around on family time or when you’re with guests. They should be close by, but separated.

Existen libros de diseño que te dan los principios del diseño y te manejan algunas teorías de sensaciones por el color, la posición, etc. Pero información como esta que nos das es muy valiosa. Hey it's Mustafa! This video is awesome as always! Thanks for that. I bought the book you recommended, Problem seeking. But I gave up on page 97 haha, it just got too boring. I got some great ideas for my next semester though, perhaps I'll return to it in the future! I also read a lot of books, but you are the only person that gives solid info regarding facades. Perhaps you could write a book one day? I just know it would be super useful! I mark the beginning of my architecture journey with you! I used to get 55-60 out of 100 each semester and the highest I achieved was 71. After meeting with you, my grade this semester boosted to 91! Because I learned a lot of things. Remember the e-mail you sent me with advice? That was the beginning of change for me. (Spoilers: my facades were the best in the class) I was able to stand up for some of my decisions. I kept the same thing on my latest project for 3 weeks, despite my teacher's repeated asks to change it. I wouldn't change it to something else that would cause more problems. At the end of week 3, he got mad and told me to do whatever I want. I didn't mind this reaction, because we, as architects, solve problems. This was an extremely important step for me, because I was aware of what I was doing. I started to question his advices, and ended up not doing %30 of them that I didn't find reasonable. My project got the top grade! This journey begun with you. Before you, I was being tossed left and right not knowing what I was up to. So thanks to you, I got a perfect grade Malak! You are amazing!

Your design is clean, functional, and modern, and every line and mass follow a logic, like having more solid walls on the right side of the first floor and more glass on the second floor, this treatment also gives the entrance more importance than the garage side of the house. Indeed, spacial and visual design is guided by clear, objective, principles derived from human perception, but most of the literature on the field is split between "gut feeling stuff" and unapproachable stuff (like Hermann Weil's Simmetry). There needs to be more middle ground stuff, not abstract science nor aesthetic art just applied synthesis.
