Deckademics Presents: Back To The Future
Can I get use a pair of SL1210 MK2 turntable. And get the same job done.
The greatest!!!!! This set stands true in 24
Reloop Spin.. how does it compare 😊
fantastic review! thanks
Back in the late 90’s, I was listening to 96.3 and this dude did the baddest LL Cool J routine. That’s when I knew I wanted to Dj. I was 17. 44 now and haven’t stopped! 🙌🏼🙌🏼 appreciate you man!
Great review, I’ve had my S7 for a month now, Is there any way I can use the paddles like a transform switch for scratching? So basically flick down for in & back up for off, if that makes any sense 😊
On the S11, what you’re looking for is called the “kill” effect (s/o DJ Zimmie). I don’t know if it’s on the S7 though, but check for that!
@@coolhandlexnice one, i’ll check that out
3 up 2 back
great review!! Honestly Rane broke my trust by discontinuing support for the 62 while pioneer still supports their mixers of the same year. So I'm out of the Rane ecosystem for good.
Not to mention how is it reverse
If you had to pick between the Pioneer S7 and the Rane 70 which one would you get?
If I was choosing between those two, I’d likely go with the 70
@@coolhandlex thank you.
Love how you disregard the 2000 for DjIng. Yes, for scratching you need a higher torque, but for mixing dance music, you don't need half the torque that super OEMs like the 4000 have (hence why a lot of dance DJs who mix vinyl use technics).
Rane just found "the perfect world" item.
hi, please tell me how good and durable the channel faders are in s11, I heard that for example in s7 they are not reliable and can fail, I wonder if in s 11 they are the same as in s 7 or a class higher and is it difficult to change them if they break ? Thank you
The faders in the s11 are of higher quality than the S7, as well as being easier to swap in the event you should need to
@@Deckademics thanks for the feedback
I would like to ask about the channel faders on the s11, how reliable are they in this model, unlike the s7, and are they easy to replace if they break on the s11? I heard that the s7 has graphite faders and they can quickly fail, who knows please tell me , thanks
What do you think about turn 5 and turn X?
Man do I appreciate this! Most of my casino gigs have an S11 in use and I have been a avid Pioneer user for over 25 years BUT I just received a 72 with a pair of Twelves and I am pretty impressed with that setup as well. This was a very fair comparison in my opinion and thank you again!
Great vid!! I have an Omni and wish I could plug it directly into my MacBook to control Serato. I saw Serato in your video. How did you make that work?
2 years later, can anyone say if this controller is any good? Durability? Fader? Jog wheel issues? Please.
Yes it is! Plenty durable with no issues in our experience!
I appreciate this review. Well done, I’ll be getting mine soon. Indy represent 🎉
I've heard about the fluttering of audio playback while using the slowest levels of ultra pitch and I got one with the same problem. Is there any remedy for this? Would a firmware update help this??.. i think not. Any ideas? It's the only problem with this otherwise great table, imo. Seriously, amy answers?
Wtf no positive comments this dj Babu ffs. This turntablism at its finest. One of the elements of hip hop. Xmem doing their thing
Cuál es ese equipo?
Show bde bola
Thumbs up for using the term, "zigga-ziggas"
Great review and love the unit break apart!
anyone who has this DDJ , could you please share some experiment with it ?? . do it last ??
ANNNNNNND INSTANT PURCHASE..
One the best reviews ever!!!
Bro. On the end you doing 2 click not 3
Right ? I'm sitting here listening over , like , I think he's just doing a 2 click , after the first go
It's just 👎😒
Re screwdrivers - you’re welcome. ;)
No other site has ever compared to Scratch/DJ Worx and that is a hill I’m willing to die on. When I first spoke with Drew, half of our conversation was about your site and it’s unrivaled contribution to that part DJ culture. Thank you!
@@coolhandlex It was my pleasure. I love that Drew played his part in my journey and is now at the top of the ladder when it comes to making a difference to the DJ industry.
How much initial capital will it take to become a stylus manufacturer ?
Thanks for the great review 💪🏽💪🏽
Craze and Qbert are my all time favorite DJs of all time 👍🏼💯
The S11 is a better mixer as far as features.
Far-out At long last Scratching while camping......or up a the lake BBQ in.....sold/lol
Couldn't live with those noisy loose faders, remind me of the Stanton optical ones.. can you plug and play an innofader into these?!
Has RANE improved on the fader fx from the last SEVENTY mixer????
I started DJing when I was 12 years old back in 1982 all I have to say to the conversation is how about at least 10 inch jog wheels or 12inch oh makes my mouth water make the product a little bit bigger for now I can only wait and dream
this video is like most vids comparing these two incredable mixers . most folks gravitate to the s11 , i own both , with my style of mixing ,ie i like to snap back to a 4,or 8 bar intro to mix in and out of tracks , the rane 72 lends itself to this with as little as 1 button push wil get you where you need to be even if you havent set ou your loop prior to your set . But with the S11 you have to set your loop a well as your cue point at the beginning of your loop in order to get back to your loop . So because of this i find myself always using my 72 . But the S11 does have a few more tricks up its sleeve like the 2 virtual channels that you can use to be very creative with . Bottom line is i will force myself to spend more time with the S11 to gain an appriciation of its strengths .
came here to understand if i should change my rane 72 with pioneer s 11. since i travel a lot with my mixer, the fact that pioneer is build in plastic is a very big minus. i will not change my 72. thank you
This guy's a complete moron. The turntable was built to resemble the Technics 1210mk2 so how does it compare to that? WTF does "high quality vinyl playback " even mean? BS jargon! This type of salesman always makes me puke! Talks a lot BS and at the end he's told you nothing!
i have both the rane 70 and the 72... the 72 has glitched out and does not work anymore and the 70 has rotary pot issues. switching to pioneer s11. never going back to rane.
I do a lot of remixes and mashups. One timeI had a deejay ask me if I could share some with him. Yes, that's my fault. Cuz a few weeks later he was rockin' the club with MY remixes and mashups and claiming them as his. WTF??!!! Never again!!
Excellent review! Probably the best I’ve seen on this controller so far. Now this; 9:02 is definitely unacceptable! That would make me pack this thing up and send it right back! Especially for something that cost $2,000 or more! But there’s so many other amazing things about this controller that I really like. I would like to check this controller out one day, but for that price point, that’s gonna be a really long time from now. RESPECT! ✊🏾
Hello everyone. Is Stanton STX a good choice after a long break from scratching? I would like to recall techniques and learn something new
Have you seen that Korg Handytraxx that’s coming out?
Yo. Will this work as a decent stand/hub for N.I Maschine? I need to be able to raise my Maschine above the height of my keyboard, (S61mk2) so this could be the ideal solution... Has anyone used this stand for something like a Maschine at all? Cheers
This looks amazing!! I want one!
Great video!
Wah, this Banny guy really power sia. He steady go and find a solid spindle for the platter, want to make sure don't need to spend 100 euros on some atas aftermarket platter. I tell you ah, they the only portable scratch deck that really put in effort to make a solid product and understand their target market. All the others just anyhow make, want to chop carrot only, never listen to the people who use them. People always complain about their customer support, but I understand lah, small company up against big corps. Big corps can just anyhow send out another unit and hope it works this time, you know? Tough sia, really got to tahan and sabo like that.
