cool review, i have been able to find really good deals on this mixer now in 2023, is it worth to use if i am a denon user only? for instance using a sc6000, i am a laptop free dj so no Serato. will i be able to use those pads to trigger samples somehow?
Thanks man! That's our goal. We have a new review of the Pioneer S11 dropping in 2 days and some other new ones in the next week or two so make sure you subscribe to get notified when they go live.
@@Deckademics I've got a side question. Is the USB port powerful enough to run the phase through? Or is using another external port still the best option.
I was having issues with my Denon DS1 for DVS in macOS so I started looking at DVS-integrated mixers and got a great deal on a Seventy. I couldn't be more happy with the decision, and this is coming from a DJ who's been using the DJM-909 since 2008. Thanks for the great review.
This was an awesome review and I'm glad I stumbled upon your video. I'm not a subscriber and look forward to more reviews. This is my next mixer, getting it next week.
great mixer I only have one complaint and thats the colors on the npc pad's their not bold enough. the red's need to be red and the blue's need to be blue etc.. not faded or weak.
It is nice to have someone to speak in detail about sound quality. I have a Rane ttm57 mkii and am really impressed with the audio quality with vinyl, but not necessarily with various software. I don't know if you tried the 57 mkii, but I'd be curious to hear your impression of current dj software sound quality. When you said you were really enjoying the sound, I am curious what your source was?
No record out? At this price it should be standard. I'm looking for a similar 2 channel high end mixer with a rec out. Any advice or help would be much appreciated
The pad modes should light up when you change between functions but the pads in Hot Cue mode will only light up if you’ve added cue points to a song. Additionally, make sure you’re in REL mode and not ABS mode.
@@Deckademics I’m definitely in Rel mode. When I turn it on it all the pads flash and then they go out. I also have cue points set in SeratoPro. Guitar center said that it’s possible that it’s defected. So I sent it back this morning. Let’s see what happens when they send the new one. Thanks!
The first thing I can think of would be to make sure you’re in REL mode and not ABS mode. Beyond that, there is a Pad Sensitivity under the Pad Modes option in your settings.
This channel deserves way more subscribers. The reviews and journalistic writing on this channel is top notch!!
Right on, thank you!

It’s still very hard to choose Between Rane 70 vs. Pioneer S11
We'll have a review of the S11 up within the next week or so. Stay tuned!
I ended up getting the S11 Love it, thing is a beast!

The rca session out acts as the standard rca record outs on most other mixers. You're covered!
Do you have to turn the 8 pads on. I just received a Rane Seventy from Guitar Center and the pads aren’t lit.

i just got the rane 70, my pads seems stiff like stuck i press nothing happens, what can be the problem.

Su costo ?$$$ en dólares
Standard price: $1,499. deckademics.com/product/rane-seventy-70-mixer-for-serato-dj-pro/
Only one thing that I didn't like on my rane 70. Low headphone volume. Everything else is great
Esta muy sobrevalorada no se engañen
We'd disagree but you're welcome to your opinion.
