As a professional cyclocross (and... gravel?) rider for Kona Maxxis Shimano, I am just looking to promote some content that will promote some fun - whether that is on the bike or just in life. Also check me out anywhere on the internet as @gofahr
Bend Thursday Night Thrilla
I jumped into the last edition of the Thursday Night Thrilla Cyclocross Series here in Bend, OR last month, just to see if I remembered how to CX. Good news - I remembered that it is really hard! But the mechanical parts were all there even if the physical things weren't, so that's good. Here is a a voiceover of the lap, even though the course is hardly worth it, but you work with what you have, ya know!?

2023 USAC Gravel Nationals
Просмотров 3,2 тыс.Год назад
Small race with a big payout? Why not! That is why I jumped into the inaugural gravel nationals. But it turns out, a small field with a huge disparity in ability makes for a really really terrible 130 mile race. I did too much work being frustrated in the start, then wasn't strong enough to hang with the break when it happened. Then I dropped out, because it just was not a fun race. You can't s...
SBT Steamboat Gravel 2023
Просмотров 7 тыс.Год назад
My first time at Steamboat to test out their "Champagne Gravel", and I liked it! I mean, over 140 miles is a bit much I will admit, and DANG WHY DOES EVERYBODY GOTTA GO SO FAST!?!?!?! Rude. I rode a 40C Rambler up front and a 40 C velocita in the back. I think I made the wrong tire choice, but also I am not sure what I would have done differently. I think I had CushCore in the rear and it was r...
Leadville MTB Trail 100 2023 Vlog
Просмотров 8 тыс.Год назад
Second attempt at Leadville! Score is, Leadville 2, Becca 0. My Kona Honzo operated like a dream. Astral Serpentines mounted up with Maxxis Rekon Race held the airs and the Shimano drivetrain didn't let me down. The oxygen content at 10,000 feet, however? Let me down FOR SURE. I am a sea level athlete from here on out! I finished in 8:30, shaved a half hour off my time from last year, but still...
2023 Powerline Climb and Descent, Leadville Preview
Просмотров 5 тыс.Год назад
I had a few friends doing the race who were a little worried about some of the "technical" aspects. I think Powerline is the most technical bit, beyond the small section at the top of Columbine. We see Powerline early on in the direction of the vido, and then again on the way back in reverse. The erosion changes with time, but the nuts and bolts are all about the same. The last part of the desc...
Oregon Trail Gravel Grinder 2023
Просмотров 8 тыс.Год назад
This year I managed to fit all 5 stages in one vlog! Not my best edit, but I have another stage race vlog to complete, and it has been busy with work and other work and training. Oregon Trail Gravel Grinder is a 5-day 4-night point to point stage race starting in Sisters, Oregon. The race crew carries our stuff as we pedal over the Cascades! Stage 1: 74.5 miles, 6633 feet of elevation Stage 2: ...
BCBR 2023 Stage 3 Preride - Upper and Lower Maple Syrup on Maple Mountain.

WARNING Extremely apatheic and mediocre bicycle riding to follow. Cory Wallace and I preride what he said was going to to be most technical part of 2023 BCBR - Upper and Lower Maple Syrup Trails on Maple Mountain in North Cowichan, British Columbia. Unfortunately, we already ridden some that day and I was very tired and not really down to clown, so it was fairly slow and awkward, but I agree th...
Lifetime Unbound Gravel 200 - 2023
Просмотров 10 тыс.Год назад
Here it is - a vlog featuring some prep for Unbound, some in-race footage, and a recap. long vlog for a long race! Not the usual footage on this one for a few reasons. I was SUPER stressed, hard to get footie when I am doing stuff while carrying 1-2 laptops around. Need to find out how to balance all of this. Also, inrace? I am not Kerry and I don't wear a gopro on my head, and I didn't want on...
BWR BC 2023

I raced the first edition of the BWR in British Columbia and ended up walking away with 3rd place - yay! I was sick, underslept, and had a mechanical, but, it all worked out to put me in a position to ride strong and end up on the podium. Not a bad day at the office. BWRs are great due to their versatile courses and dynamic racing - just what I needed as a pick me up before Unbound!
Sea Otter 2023 Fuego XL
Просмотров 6 тыс.Год назад
68 miles and 8500 feet of climbing on the mountain bike in April is just... Too much. TOO FREAKING MUCH. Stop 1 of the Lifetime Grand Prix and stop2 of my SoCal race trip, the Fuego XL mtb race was a bit more than I could take. I chose the Kona Honzo hardtail for easier climbing, with Maxxis Recon Race 2.4 tires for some cush and easier rolling on the hard packed terrain of Monterey, CA. Maybe ...
BWR San Diego 2023
Просмотров 8 тыс.Год назад
My first BWR San Diego - and it did not dissappoint. This 127ish mile course with over 10k feet of climbing is a beast. A lot of pavement, but a lot of chunky singletrack as well. I was ripping on the singletrack but draggin on the climbs, and it showed in the results. I came away with 5th - a place I am proud of for this early in the season. Bike: Kona Libre with Shimano GRX 2x 48-31 front rin...
Shasta Gravel Hugger 2023

Welcome to the Shasta Gravel Hugger 2023. Last year I complained that this event was 100 mile in March. So this year, I prepared and had like, 2 hundred mile rides under my belt already. But then it snowed and they shortened it to 80 miles... I AM NOT COMPLAINING! I rode my Kona Libra with 40C Maxxis Ramblers, maybe could have gone Receptor in the rear but there were a few slick spots where I w...

Days 2-3 or 1-2 I don't even know. But the first proper days of riding! Come join me as we check out the North part of the island, an elephant, and a World Heritage Site (Sigiriya).
Sri Lanka Tour: Arrival
Просмотров 2,2 тыс.Год назад
Teammate Cory Wallace invited me and a few others to join him on what became a much bigger event than we anticipated a tour of Sri Lanka by bike, supported by Sri Lankan Airlines. So Cory and I loaded up our Kona Libres and headed to Sri Lanka! During this trip, we were FULLY supported by Sri Lankan Air. We flew in to Colombo, and were wisked to Negombo for the night and then off to Jaffna to s...
Random Belgian Houses

It has been a while since I have raced cyclocross, been to Belgium, done a voiceover, or even really vlogged. So, I took some throwback footage from Belgium and did some voiceover! This isn't racing or even bike related, but a look into some interesting houses I have seen while out riding or even just walking. I really do love it there - I love the green and the brick houses and the crazy juxta...

Oregon Trail Gravel Grinder 2022 - Preparations vlog
Belgium is such a creepy country
“I’m too young to die!” Love it!
Probably best not to yap about negative racing road tactics in front of the lead pack that dropped you
@@tburridge56 why? They knew they were negative racing
@@GoFahr how did that work for you
Just trying to show up your competitors on RUclips then they dropped you
@@tburridge56 well. The negative racing continued until the only noteworthy part of the race in which people crashed. I aided the break- not negative racing. So finally my complaints paid off! Are you aware I'm not a road racer? I don't do that shit. I want to ride hard. I would rather ride hard and lose than play games and.... Still lose because I suck at games.
@@tburridge56 you do know that the video was made AFTER the race, right? They dropped me THEN I made the video. I reiterate, I know I'm not fit and my head injuries make it near impossible to race anymore, so when I'm out there id rather have fun. I didn't sign up to go for a boring spin.
I absolutely love your channel. You never fail to make me laugh. ❤😂❤😂
Fun video! I just started cross at age 55 so even though you are modest your descriptions give lots of advice. this is one of my favorite cross races to watch.
You alive boss?
Not sure how I have only just now found your channel...Quite possibly the best gravel and gravel-adjacent content on RUclips. Voice over is the best!!
We need you on GCN+ CX race commentary.
You are a beautiful BADASS!
Dear God, please do this for all televised cycling. The tour needs you, that shit is so boring.
Yahoo CX dee-doo's!! ❤❤
CX wants, Nay, Needs Becca back, If you want to come back and are healthy, but if CX is not in your future, enjoy what ever journey you chose.
What’ve i missed? What’s this about your head hurting again?
Yay! Cyclocross Becca!!🎉
aaaah I missed this! epic commentary
Becca, some of my most impressive scars are from riding cross and mountain bike in Bend. Not to mention getting pneumonia from breathing in dirt dust at Chainbreaker. Miss you in the domestic and euro cross races. i am booing and hissing and trash talking every time i see Raylyn in a cross race. Glad she is having a mediocre start to her season. Gggrrrr. I don't usually post hate on someone but you go.....
Always fun to see you compete with middle aged men, pine cones and bushes. Hope you’ll get to return to action in Belgium one day, not for our sake but for your health. Rootin! ❤
At 2:12 you should have gone on the tarmac!
great video - glad to see more kerry free content ;)
The middle aged men comments had me chortling. lol
Woah, that dust is stressing me just looking at it!! 😱
4:46 bush punching 😂 Classic Becca!
Super fun seeing you race among the masters racers named Gary. Beyond bummed that your head is injured again ☹️
Oh Becca, thanks for the information about trees. Trees do have roots! Thanks for mentioning the great country of Belgium. I'm glad You survived the difficult patch after 6 minutes! ❤
Damnit! Dusty Dirt Crit! Are you hanging out in Bend?
The dee-doo fam is back!! Good to see some CX fun with the usual cool commentary :)
I love Becca race report videos.
That looked like road racing with a bit of dust. Bleah. Totally understand bailing on that.
your so right if it aint fun dont do it, I have been known to stop and find a beer during some events as on any given day you just not up for it, did a triathlon once and decided the bar a mile before the end of the bike ride had more appeal than a 10km run, you think I had committed some sort of crime against humanity, by the reactions i got !
Glad you came and was happy to give you a lift back to home base even if you mocked my muffins that no one ate!. Hopefully with more lead time for next year USAC can tie in some more stuff for everyone to do beyond the race itself and it will be interesting to see what, if any changes they enact for next year. They were def still figuring stuff out on the fly from my perspective.
Rebecca the Rambler.. look they already named a tire after you! 😂😂😂
…but did you get your jacket back?
Hahaha well as I didn't FINISH I never went back to the finish chute and NEARLY forgot, but I went back for it. So. Yes.
Thanks for visiting our wonderful state (NE)! I am sorry that the race sucked for you!!! USAC should have teamed-up with Gravel Worlds (Lincoln) to make that the national championship.
NE was much cooler than expected!! I just wish the group was bigger and or we could ride with other groups
CX is gonna restoke ur inner bike racer & Chequamegon is a good transition to that.
If only....
Your videos always leave a smile! Love them.
Oh Becca! 3:25 icecoldeedooo ❄
Looked pretty Desolate out on the course . Just the odd bit of tumbleweed blowing across the road. Could see how it could easily turn into a never ending grind all by yourself with no tricky fun sections.
NEED TRICKY FUN!
Your videos are so much fun! Always looking forward to the next one. Sorry this race didn't work out so well for you. Better luck next time!
Just put a slice of old butyl inner tube between the clamp and the bars and your garmin will stop jumping like a crazy frog
Just no more Garmin - down with data!!!
I learned a lot, and i laughed a lot!
whats the actual earning for all these rides?
Financial earnings? For me? $0
@@GoFahr TY
Its creepy lol. in 90s the Belgium people revolted due to the satanic sacrifice of children. its a real illuminati center
In the middle of the video you were talking tire pressure and squeezing tires with several people. You asked one dude to give it a feel and he put his hand on your tire. He missed an opportunity! 🖐️ 🖐️🖐️
Well thankfully not all men are absolute pigs! Yay!
I am just starting XC. Should I get HT or full sus? Thanks!
Well, depends on your ability and trails and desires and budget. I'd suggest going full suspension if you only have 1 mtb.
Oh Becca, so funny • that spoiler alert: this was where my race ended! 😂 You've got an excellent ghostwriter, Becca! 👍
Keegan on rollers before the start is a bad sign for everyone. Way to hang in there. The altitude is tough.
re garmin: wrap some tube rubber around the bar then put on garmin..
I used duct tape for the race
ahh so challenging . Im signing up to do a 50 mile MTB race -- those miles are so much slower than the road
So much slower!!! But usually more fun 😊
good job! :)
Fun vid as usual. What would a Fahringer vid be without the portapotty cameo?
