Well, personally, I love the black lightning t.V show

I liked better the "BM vs SM" than the DK series. It was just boring to me - I'm old and still prefer the 1989 BM. Ok the joker was interesting and Catwomen was hot... But no. And hated this "tankish" Batmobile!

I don't remember people talking about the dialog but really the script. The first 2ep were not bad. I liked the witches! Having a different view on the force was interesting. But the script and directing was poor. The sith plot twist was obvious. Characters motivations were switch all the time. The kids were poorly directed. A complete flashback episode? It was probably just not for me... SCrew is ok. Can't wait for Andor - that's a masterpiece.

Considering Venoms Tagline was Aways THE Lethal protector, and the Hatred that bonded Eddy and The symbiote was what made venom. If you’re gonna do a venom movie without Spider-Man you should start with the lethal protector. That and the fight could be how they morally conflict on what to do with the villains. Like when Venom killed Cletus at the end of Venom 2, they understood that if Spider-Man was there that wouldn’t have happened. A lot of peoples understanding of Venom comes from a cartoon. I know this because every adaptation pretty much adapts how the 90s cartoon did it after it gets on Pete So venom being the way he is in the movies without Spider-Man makes sense to me.

Yes dialogue wasn’t good in the originals but dialogue alone wasn’t the reason…nor was it any of these “woke” claims either. They tried in some aspects to do Kurosawa with Star Wars and it failed. They had very little clarity with its direction, they hyped up Carrie-Anne Moss only to kill her off right off the rip in a bitch way. Didn’t even have her dying at the end of a red lightsaber (jumping ahead to the one twins lightsaber turning red. Ugh just no) almost all of the acting was completely flat, and how they set up the witches and the fire and them turning into smoke monsters off the rip…no. The witches spook the Jedi by turning into smoke and making serious aggressive moves and then were like “I was gonna let her go with you” ok sure. It was flawed top to bottom. It was klunky at best. Oh and with all of its script, actin and directing flaws the other stuff sticks out like pristine wardrobes for main and background characters in scenes where it should look lived in. Lighting not matching background special effects, poor lighting showing actual props like tables and chairs that should be wood or metal that look very much plastic. It was like watching a student made show by someone who never saw Star Wars but was given the cliff notes of it. 0 rewatch-ability factor. The original movies in my opinion had far far better set pieces and were lit way better and that was on a shoestring budget where they had to come up with 99 percent of the shit they did in 1976. They were first in so many different things from set to lighting and special effects. The dialogue wasn’t good but they also cast perfectly with people who had extremely great chemistry. There is no comparison at all.

My theory for these spider man villain films is that Sony owns a shit ton of movie theaters thru a shell company and they “schedule” viewings of the movies they make and fake ticket sales for those viewings in order to launder money

I am Japanese, and the majority of Japanese people are of the opinion that if that is the case, they should just make an anime that has a lot of black characters in it.

It is ABSOLUTELY INSANE that they fumbled this series so BAD. The craziest part is that the writers will probably fail up and still have jobs after this. If this were us we would’ve been sent packing for losing our company so much money. For every one well written movie there are 7 poorly written one.

I think it’s funny that Sony made a handful of movies purely based on viewers hopes of seeing a tiny glimpse of Spider-Man’s story, that another studio is responsible for. It’s like a girl that dates a guy to get to his friends😂

I agree with yoour take I was wondering though do we have a blueprint for a good villain movie cause I agree with you but now that I think of it I haven't seen a good comic movie about a villain besides like joker.

With venom I must argue that in the comics he bounces between being a villain and anti-hero so I would argue that the movies make sense

I think it could work. Dakken could work street level n be a great setup to the MCU wolverine reveal. Logan already has a daughter so given his long life a son makes sense. Imagine him vs the 10 rings or team up DD vs The Hand. His reveal could be a hand popping bone claws n we'd go nuts.

We dont even have Logan in the MCU. Bringing Daken would confuse GA & he is too powerful even for MCU Matt & Kingpin combine

I like what they’re doing for Black Lightning so far and essentially making him become a sort of leader for the Metahuman Community since he’s in charge of the Metahuman Outreach Initiative. I’ve heard someone say that DC could make Jefferson Pierce the “Charles Xavier” for DC with the Metahumans and honestly I can see it.

Kamala Khan was already announced as a Mutant in the MCU in her series if I'm not mistaken. I can see something like this happening if they change Daken it so he's not related to Wolverine. If he is still related to Wolverine I feel using him too soon could create more confusion than fans. I hope we see him eventually tho.

I loved the way that these black characters were written and depicted. I would also like if Thunder is going to have electric based powers, that there is a variation. Let’s make it something like, she can channel or disrupt the electric field…but maybe it’s on a cellular level. Like she can control the electric field within a persons cells. Not lighting itself. Essentially making her able to control or destroy someone on a cellular level…just spit ballin here but let’s see what they do with her 😊
