I literally play for the diplomacy I genuinely hope it’s expanded beyond trades, alliances, and open borders… I’m glad they introduced sanctions, diplomacy is what makes an empire feel like an empire, issues and resolve beyond capture the flag

My first civilisation game and still my personal favourite. Easily the game I've sunk the most hours into. The music still gives me feels.

Bring back the Real Council, bring back Wonders movies, reduce comic-graphic.

Sooooo no changes then other than you can sail through rivers & did i see the boat travel through land to get to the river rather than go around... Why not add transport ships where units need them to cross the ocean. Or have ships where you can activate special abilities like hunt to extend the range for 2 turns to find pirate ships or subs. Have very small patrol ships to protect smaller towns rather than using a big ass battle ship. Not complaining but don't really see much difference from the previous games.

Independent Powers is basically a blend of Barbarians and City-States. I suspect that which City-state they become depends on the type they are.

I'm not seeing how there's a "tall vs wide" thing here. I'm just seeing "wide vs. different wide". It's just a question of whether you want to evolve your towns or keep them in their base form. If you keep all your locations at Pikachu status, you still have to defend, plan, and micromanage the area. Am I missing something?

I think I speak for the "Civ Community" when I say that you either gave us Navigable Rivers in some fashion, or we'd be using duct tape, chloroform, and windowless rooms to get Navigable Rivers.

Love this so much. In the real world, navigable rivers have a massive effect on the power and options of a civilization. Hats off to the team.
