Hi Donita, welcome to the wonderful world of wire working! I always use dead soft wire in my projects as it can be work hardened or annealed depending on the project. In this cuff-let I used dead soft wire that I pre-annealed! I hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions!?😄

Hi Ann, I took another look at the cutters, WOW the price certainly has gone up, there are two pairs with the same numbers as mine ranging from $77-$100 AUD. The $100 pair look the same as mine! Thanks Debbie, no I didn't, funny story, when I got them I took the plastic tube off and threw it in the bin, 2 days later I went to use them and they woudn't work, so I had to scavage through the rubbish in the bin to find the tube! Apparently you need this for the pliers to work! LOL

One of the things making jewellery has taught me, is patience! I used to look for the quick and easy way to do everything and then wonder why my pieces didn't look how I imagined them! LOL But! having said that I would definitely use the bail making pliers if I had a pair back then!☺

Of course you can use different coloured wires! I personally don't use anything other than copper, the coloured wire is not my thing! My surgery went well, thanks for asking!
