My glass storm door will not come out, help. We took the handles off and everything and it still won’t come out.
Did you get the handle to go straight up to release the glass?
Thank you. I appreciate the time and effort you put into making this video. Very informative.
Thanks. I'll be using this video for my own repairs.
Thanks for the support. God Bless!
Thanks for the clear and direct information
At 16 minutes you tested the front coils at 3 megaohms and the NGK tested at 2.877 megaohms. Then at 45 minutes you tested the rear coils at 30 megaohms and recalled that the front coils were 5 megaohms. Oops. This would have been a good opportunity to check compression to rule out head gasket leaks. Nicely done video.
Thanks for the suggestions, but I didn't need to check for a head gasket leak. No oil burning or consumption, no antifreeze loss or discoloration, never overheated, and plugs looked good.
I just did this job. Cutting the axle is basically the only way to get it out if the bearing is siezed. My brother pressed it out with a 20 ton harbor freight press. I wish I cut the axle before cutting the bolt on the axle bearing mount, found out after there was pins on the mount. Awsome video. After watching I went out and cut it. Did the lower control arms as well. Went fairly smooth after unfolding 4 motor mounts, 2 on top and 2 on bottom, there is also a bolt on the back side of the engine that attaches the sub frame to the engine via a black bracket. Sooo effin frustrating!
The tech at Subaru says you don't need to change the gasket on your 1st change there a different kind of crush gasket not like the gasket for the oil per Subaru
I always like to put new gaskets on, you never know if the old one will seal and it could end up costing you more if you have to replace it or drips on your garage floor.
how often do you change the filter in the gearbox?
There is a filter that requires removing the transmission to replace, and would only consider changing it if the valve body needs changing due to residue. Also, there is a strainer in the oil pan. The stainer is easy to get to and can be done at 100k miles along with cleaning the magnet that is adhered to the oil pan. Hope that helps.
@@justbehandy Aha, i thought the strainer was the filter, thanks for the clarification 👍🏻😊
Did the motors last well? Also how did the stock gearbox stand up to the new motors?
The gearbox and the 24 volt motors are holding up well. Kids are going up hills and pulling full size plastic garden trailer with weeds and sticks without issues. I have them start out in low speed then switch to high speed when pulling a trailer. I think adding lube in the gearbox has helped keep gears cool. Check out that video. Hope that helps 😃
Any advice on someone who cut into a corner to far.. it doesnt extend deep just a little bit from the desired hole in the middle. Will the plate hold it fine or should I reinforce with a patch.
You can try it out as is first. If it is an issue, then you can patch it with a pool patch on both sides. Hope that helps.
Thank you
Great tip about changing the fluid cold. I have been changing mine hot for over 20 years but now will switch to cold.
WHY do you change the brake fluid? Ive been driving since 1968, and NEVER had to do this before. Sounds like a SCAM to me.
Brake fluid breaks down over time due to moisture and heat cycles. That is why it gets darker. The moisture can cause issues with ABS systems. Most manufacturers recommend changing brake fluid around 3 to 5 years. Check your owner's manual for service intervals. Hope that helps.
Unsure how to ground the violet wire anyt tips?
I found a bolt that was in close proximity and had good chassis ground, then made a short harness that used a loop crimp at the bolt to the switch. As for the violet wire, I used a crimp that T-ed off of the wire to the other side of the switch. Hope that helps.
Great job on this video... I watch several other videos on this subect, yours was the best!
I’m just curious on how you wired the switch and grounded it
I didn't wire it to light up, just switch to ground. If you want the switch to light up, you would need a relay to separate the circuit so you don't short the ground wire. Hope that helps
@@justbehandy gotcha gotcha!
Amazing video brother did this with my 04 Highlander exactly what needed
When I bought a new Honda Civic hatchback in 1990, the dealership insisted I bring it back at 1000 miles for a free oil change. Whether breaking in or simply cleaning out manufacturing remnants, I like the idea of changing it with very low mileage at least for the first round. But, I will say, I do not miss changing oil when I have to struggle to reach or remove the oil filter. I really like the ease of changing oil on my 2016 Subaru Forester.… Filter right up top in front, installed a Fumoto valve you told me about to replace the drain plug. If need be, that can be a 10 minute oil change with one empty 5 gallon jug and two pieces of paper towel.
Thank you for taking the time to comment and for following my channel. Blessings
This is actually well above average from all the new-engine oil sampling I've seen. I believe almost all the metal particles found in new-engine drain oil is actually from manufacturing, where not everything is perfectly cleaned-up before and during assembly, rather than from actual break-in; and all or almost all of it is immediately filtered out before it has any chance to do damage. In any case, it seems sensible to do an early oil change like you've done here, but on the other hand the vast majority of engines don't get that and still manage to go hundreds of thousands of miles, and even then are rarely the reason for a car's discontinued use. Nice video.
Totally agree that is manufacturing left overs and not too bad. I like to get that stuff out within the first 1000 miles. Also, Honda is using a cheap filter that may go into bypass. Don't want that stuff circulating around a few more times. Thanks for your input and feedback.
Just to show the value of this story of changing oil early, I have a new Yamaha 125 cc scooter, I changed the oil and filter at 400 Miles. The metal particles were in abundance. All the metal was from the engine as its wearing itself in. Will change it again at 1200 miles. If you want longevity , it is necessary to prevent enginr wear.
I plan on changing it again around the 3,000 mile mark. It should be close to the 50% oil life level on the service screen. I will not reset the oil counter again, to see how far the oil percentage calculations takes us with our daily driving. Also, we shut off the stop/start every time to reduce unnecessary engine wear.
I’m a big fan of Fluid Film for rust prevention
I am going to do that on the new Odyssey, lessons learned.
Awesome, exactly the info I needed. It was all in the latch!!
Awesome work! Thanks for the vid!
What's all that rattling and clinking sound? Does the saw just vibrate those parts that much? I thought the parts sounded awfully loose and jingly. Maybe it's just that Timber Bear saw.
It's due to not having the clutch cover on with the bar and chain. All saws will do that.
@@justbehandy gotcha, missed that
I did replace my fuel filter but my engine is not starting. Whats the fault here?
Did you just replace the filter or filter and pump? Go back and watch relevant parts of the videos and think back to see if you may have missed a step, or something may be loose. Check over the electric connection and make sure the fuel line is not leaking.
YES THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED. SO EASY! THANK YOU!!
Toyota Highlander is great car they last 500 thousand miles or more looks great car 😂.
Unfortunately the Honda Oddessy doesn’t have a good reliability record
True, but better than other options in the minivan segment. We just couldn't do the Sienna due to the ride quality, engine drone, and fit and finish. Being the last of the outgoing model, we are hopeful that most of the reliability issues have been addressed.
11:02 This is the best TS508 video I have found!!!! Our 2012 Toyota Prius had all original sensors (2 dead), I purchased 4 aftermarket sensors on Amazon, had them installed with the new tires. This procedure worked to program the NEW sensors... No need to have the old ones handy, and no need to manually input anything. THANK YOU!!! BTW, the tire shop claimed two were low on battery, and one of my new ones were dead. I checked them prior with the TS508, I knew they were fine (maybe an error with their tool).
Just did this on my 2019 with 50k. First time touching a diff. I had a little struggle getting old gaskets off diff and cleaned some of that rubber residue afterwards. A little shmoo on the magnet. I had the front raised slightly high with my setup, but still took 0.8qt, maybe a hair more. Front diff and cvt next on the list. Thanks again for your vids.
I just did this with the same links and a 19mm bar. Upon reassembly, i started with the link hardware first. It slid in but not as hard a time as yours. I was about an inch away on the brackets though. They would not go on until i took the load off the rear end. All seems well. Man does it drive less like a boat. Thanks for your tutorial 👍
Great choice we love our Odyssey
4” perhaps a bit long .. They make these ones called number 10’s. The thread is thicker … I have a box just to fix any stripped screw issues that come up.
You're using that file backwards. You push a file. Don't pull it.

Hi Thanks, Are there any air leaks in the Feather…door?
Thankfully no leaks. The threshold is adjustable and works well.
@@justbehandy thank you 😊 ♥️

Id like to see this run. I’ve never seen impressive games ns on these

Mine seems to get oil in the combustion chamber. Luckily i bought like 17 other macs now so it doesn’t see much use. None of my 10 series saws do anything similar. You can see why these saws kinda killed them.
Each saw has a personality, that is why I like to see what they can do with a little clean up of manufacturing flashing and other simple modifications to the exhaust.
Q port.
Thanks 👍
Just a heads up - I believe there is a small typo in the description: the larger gasket part number is incorrect (but the Amazon link is still correct). Instead of: "Subaru Genuine Drain Plug Gasket need 1 (larger gasket) - 803918090" Should be: "Subaru Genuine Drain Plug Gasket need 1 (larger gasket) - 803926090"
Thanks!
Do you have any videos on wiring the switch?
Sorry I don't. I didn't put power to my switch as that could cause issues, I just have it going to ground and it doesn't light up.
Great video. I want to do this, and this video was absolutely perfect! Thank you for sharing it.
Hope the links in the description help with wire harness as well.
Thank you for this extremely thorough how to video. I wound up taking the wheel off to open the fill port. Getting the plastic cover off was a pain. You must live where no road salt is used. I did have to use a three foot pipe on the breaker bar to take off the drain plug. And showing how to use a level was very smart and helpful.
Why is the fill plug different from the check plug? Can you not pump the oil into the check hole?
Think of the check plug as a vertical tube that is at the correct level in the differential. Once the fluid level starts to get above the tube opening it starts to drain down. If you try to fill from the check plug, you may not be able to push fluid up the tube properly, and it will be hard to gauge if the differential is full, or just fluid draining back. Hope that helps.
@@justbehandy Thank you for answering my question and clearing up my confusion. Your coverage of the topic has been very helpful.
Very helpful. Got the job done with no issues.
Over the years I've used hand pumps or had my wife or kids pump the brakes. Time for fluid change on my 20019 Outback, believe I'll scurry down to Harbor Freight and get one of these kits.
Enjoy 😊
Thanks for the great video! Just fixed the tire in my stroller!
My 2017 Impreza manual does not list this. Only says DOT 3 or 4
Thanks for sharing
Thank you! Took 5-6 videos to finally answer the “how do I manually vacuum a pool with a strainer basket in place” (to not get all the 💩 in my big filter) Even though mine is in-ground, appears steps are exactly the same… My robot vac is on the fritz!😬 Thanks again!!
Its only the sheet metal
