I test drove a 2021 Model Y at a Ford dealership today. The sales associate said all he knew about Tesla's was that they can be put into drive. I wish I'd watched this video before test driving. This info will certainly come in handy if I end up buying the car, which I hope I can talk the spousal unit into. It's an amazing car.

It's easier to "speak Tesla." "Wipers level one." "Make it warmer". I think I use wiper commands more than any other, but I live in a rainy climate. "Navigate to supercharger" is a really common one too. But totally agree, voice commands are the key to a seamless Tesla experience. (I'm a newbie, just 2 months in a new Y, but despite being an old fart (71), this all seems pretty natrual to me. Oddly, controlling the headlights yields "that feature is not yet available" WTH?

Looks great, good to know it holds up. BUT Tesla really should communicate expected delay with order. I have waited 5, going on 6 months now. ONLY after 3rd phone call did someone confess that White interior was the hold up. To see the App update delivery time line with delay after delay with NO communication is not a good Business plan in my opinion.

I like to be spoon fed with my navigation. An Example would be use the second left turn lane to turn left or there is an accident head or report an accident. Which navigation system Apple Vs Tesla do you feel does a better job? I am a hard and fast Apple Maps person soon to get a Tesla and I want to know if my navigation frustration level will increase with my new Tesla. Thank you.

I just got my Model 3 yesterday in Denver. I live in Colorado Springs. We had a ton of snow over the past several days. Yesterday was the first warm day. The roads were super wet, and I was receiving a lot of splash onto the windshield. I had to pull over to figure out how to activate the wipers. Voice Command for this action is a game changer for me. I feel so out of place in my Tesla but I'm sure ill get used to it. I drive for Uber so I'll have plenty of time to become an expert. Thank you for these tutorials.

Haven't watched the next vid but a wild guess, one of the thing that might change a lady's life is adding a family member! Since I heard you are married, maybe that changes the circumstances a bit? Need to switch to a bigger car? Etc etc. Just having fun guessing even this is like a 2yr old vid.

There just aren't enough charging stations, which I think the main factor. Who would seriously want an EV while living in a apartment? It would be a pain. You would regret buying it. It's not just the vehicle's cost since there are Ford pick-up trucks that are more expensive than a Model 3.

What happens when your 12 volt battery dies? Can you still get into your Tesla and start your car or would you have to get it towed?

I just ran figures, myself. Its crazy how there are no online tools that really give you a solid overview answer to the final cost differences. Heres my system: decide on a time period you want to hand back/sell the car. eg 24 mnths , run the lease calculator based on what you want to pay etc. The total for the lease over 2 years is easier: its the downpayment + mnthly payment x term length ( eg 24 ) + extras fees = the total spent in 2 years. For a loan and selling after the same time eg 24 mnths you do similar: = downpayment + mnthly payment x term length ( eg 24 ) + sales tax , reg & extras fees + the amount you owe at the end of the 2 years. eg: if its a 36mnth term you still owe 12 months payments , THEN you get the value of the car after 2 years, based on eg 15% annual drop, so the final cost for 2 years will be final value of car MINUS the downpayment, amount you have paid over 24 mnthly payments and also MINUS the amount you still owe, eg 12 mnths of payments. You will find that buying is roughly a few thousand dollars cheaper over 2 years. For Tesla Y 2023 its a 5k saving +- a few thousand depending on the variables you put in.

Good video but I highly recommend you include sales tax and insurance as well even if it's your own local area Sales tax can easily add another $3,000-$4,000 to the price, as well as $2400-$3,600 a year for insurance. That's an extra $6,000 in year 1 alone that's not being factored

How much in debt (in total) are you? BTW. Car will be all your in about 72 months, when you will pay it fully 🙄.

I have a question for you ma'am when Tesla stocks doing there. Driving be sure here in the next few months I wonder if I will be able to tell my Tesla where to go by just talking into the system by using voice commands? The reason why I say this is because I am blind!

Thought that would be a very useful button for me to do. Since I am blind and basically I think that would work since basically to a blind person that voice command would work just fine all it has to do is just do the work all you need to do is talk to it 1st! But that will be a few months down the road when they get full shelf driving up and running.

One thing I'd love to see happen if when Tesla decides to put FSD in the Tesla model 3 the model y and a few others in 2024. And once that happens? Everybody's going to want 1!

One thing about those chargers that's a very good idea but there's also one thing that you might not want to realize but I'm pretty sure you will is going to be the fact is that Tesla will soon have what are called portable chargers that actually come with the car all you have to do is basically just plug it into the charger and basically you're offering running until it is finished charging at 100%. But that will take some time for the portable charger to work because basically it will take the car at least two to three hours before it is fully charged with a portable charger! That is why one day Tesla is going to start having everyone who is legally blind or totally blind basically get used to have it a Tesla with a portable charger that they can actually use if the battery runs low.

They keep changing the names. Now they call it enhanced autopilot.
