I think you would be better off with 4:10 gear ratio.
Dint even own the car anymore. But it was great with that gear to be honest. Victor Jr. Intake. And back to a 4000rpm stall. Was awesome

Many
Headers/exhaust, an aggressive cam profile, single plane short runner intake manifold, huge throttle body,. Custom transmission valve body, high stall torque converter, differential set up with a low rear gear set and helical gear type limited slip, etc. Lowered, big fat front and rear sway bars and more

I actually bought them used but "hi-tech motorsports" in Elk River, MN. the cams are ground to their spec. I think they still sell them
How difficult was it to swap cams?

The tune was tweeked after that. But doesn't matter now. Sold it last spring then the guy totaled it

360/390 is at the crank. 281/297 at the wheels. Doesn't matter, it was totaled right after I sold it

315 35r 17 on the rear.
What torque converter and gears you running
Sold the car this past spring. What I was using when I sold it was a 4.30 gear set with a Detroit trutrac. A 9.75" Circle D multi disc with a 3800-4000 stall range

@darthrevanthegreat4189 barely poke. I owned and drove this car for almost 12 years. I sold the car this spring (2023) and it s totaled within a few months..

I sold my last 03 Merc but man your videos are making me want to build another one......do you think the throttle body, upper plenum and Victor Jr. Intake were worth the upgrade? My last Panther was just a Marauder air box and intake tube with a 80mm MAF sensor, Marty Tune from Mo's Speed shop and custom dual exhaust, but willing to put in the work in the intake of the 4.6 if its worth the gains. Def will be getting a set of those Cams too along with a set of long tube headers and a true 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust system. Regardless, glad to see the car is still around and kicking ass as usual!

I bought an oem console and floor shift assembly from an 05 grand marquis. I modified the interlock in my original steering column. The cams are Hi-tech stage 2

How much horsepower did you make
Last time it was on the dyno with a PI intake and 75/75mm tb/upper plenum combo, it made 281/297 at the wheels.
