Actually, there's a 3rd reason it looks like new.... It could be like my 100% rust free, always stored in the garage, never driven in the weather 54K miles, 1986 C10 custom.... Oh yeah, they do exist. P.S... mines that same color of blue.

Buck...you got no clue. If a hole was needed it, it would already be there. Have you ever heard of a bypass? On your SBC it is the hole from the water pump....see that second hole on the block there on the passenger side ...DUH...

You can actually drill more than one if you want to. It ain’t gonna hurt to performer to thermostat.

Can you see well in the right mirror? I bought similar mirrors and the left one is ok, but the passenger side mirror covers a very small area. It doesn't reduce the image, so I have to look in the lower mirror while driving, which is terribly annoying.

You can go half way on all the bolts so you have room for a big screwdriver to counter your turning of the puller. Great video tho. I am in the process right now.

It doesn't have to be a small hole anything up to 3/16 is fine helps when filling to prevent airlocks too

That's fine and I've been a master mechanic for over 30 years but instead of the smallest drill that you have drill at least a 1/8 - 3/16th minimum... Actual holes as big as a quarter inch and 99.9% of the time as long as you have a decent size hole it makes it really easy to fill up and reduce your steam pockets and unless you live in snow it only affects your warm-up time by a couple minutes to bigger the whole....

My Saturn SL thermostat came with a little hole. Odd that a V8 wouldn't have that, I think.

Just threw some ceramic coated summit racing headers on my 69 c10. Im suprised they went right in no problem👍🏻👍🏻

Just find up some vortec heads of a mid 96+ truck and run em. U can actually use beehive ls6 valve springs for cheap but don’t go messing around with any sort of “porting”. Maybe a little gasket matching but don’t go gouging into the cylinder ports at all

Put a breaker bar on the harmonic balancer bolt and turn it over a few times to see if it’s locked up how hard is that to do??? While your at it pull the distributor and use an oil pump primping tool to get oil circulated through motor before cranking it over as well a little common sense will go a long way
