Air bleed hole.

Throw away the thermostat and build your own restriction. A pair of tin snips and a hunk of tin. One inch hole and then the same size as the thermostat. It restricts the coolant you'll get heat if you hook up the heater hoses and there's zero chance of hot pockets

or...use a safety vent radiator cap so it can vent BEFORE you open it.

A cammed 6.0 will hurt your SBC feelings. Even a 5.3 will walk most SBC in any platform. Lt1, tbi, vortex,SBC exc.

Sorry dude, a flat tappet cam, is held in place by the lobe angles that push it toward the rear of the block. If it was flat , it would burn though in no time flat if it the lifters didn't rotate in their bores. Common mistake.

When your engine is overheated, your thermostat is wide open. You don't need no stinking little hole. Think the whole process out people, think, think!!! That's what's wrong with this generation. So i have a 350 an i want to block off the crossover heat ports

#1 is boil it to make sure it opens before installing, cannot trust quality control from manufacturing no matter the brand name. Time is money and in my opinion it's best to spend 30 minutes verifying the parts work with a thermometer and a boiling pot of water to make sure it opens at the designated temp before chancing installing it in good faith it will work. Taking all that time to top off the coolant,purge the air on a cold start bringing the engine up to temp after filling the coolant system, go through the length of time it takes to install, top off the coolant, bringing the engine up to temp - only to find the engine over heating and now you have to drain the coolant remove the thermostat and replace which takes an extra 3 hours returning to the store for another one. It also eliminates a troubleshooting step just in case your having a general overheating issue that all along could be a blockage in your radiator.
