The Movie with No Happy Endings
Based on the 1968 Peter S. Beagle book of the same name, “The Last Unicorn” is a fantasy film that follows the story of the last Unicorn on Earth going on an epic quest to discover what happened to the rest of the world's unicorns and rescue them from their terrible fate.
We'll look at why this movie continues to be heralded as an underrated classic and try and figure out its true message!

    This is an amazing animated movie that doesn't get the props that it very well deserves. In fact, I feel as if this movie needs to be rebooted and I would love to see what modern day technology could do to this film.

    Your seeing the unicorn all wrong! She's beautiful, perfect, and innocent. She is royal, naive, and pure. The magician plunged her from being immortal to putting her into a body living under original sin.

    I saw this when I was around 12-14. It absolutely destroyed me. I was bawling as I have rarely bawled, and the unbelievable sadness and melancholy of the song sunk into me for weeks. Not many films can do that to me but man oh man, I will NEVER forget that! As far as the joke, I always thought that she looked at Charlie Brown as a person/personality 'in and of itself'. That 0.001% that is just the culmination of what they would call 'bad luck'- which is for some people, very real, but no one can truly relate to that kind of person if you haven't been it.

  • @janette2422
    @janette2422 3 дня назад

    to me, nothing at all was more impactful than Molly's anguish and accusations-as well as her own great lamentation that what she did was her own fault but also that her entire hope of seeing a Unicorn became her entire existence, and should have been dropped AGES ago.

    The Princess and the Goblin. I watched it a thousand times on VHS years ago. and I still love it. Now sometimes I do want a remake of it, but I am also scared of someone messing with something I loved so much growing up with. So, I am worried if others would ruin it or not. The songs were perfect. the action. and the beauty in childlike wonder and magic and fantasy. So, I honestly, I loved that movie. But it would be nice if someone did remake it but not Disney, anyone but Disney.

    I watched this movie again last night... It was pretty cheesy at moments, but it still had it's funny parts. There were some scenes that were really intense, and some scenes with Justin and Amy were pretty well acted. There were some scenes I thought were kinda heavy. I now remember why I liekd the movie so much as a kid. I watched it every time it came on tv. I remember busting open the TV guide and making sure I turned on the Disney Channel when it came on.

    All that can be sculpted by the chisel and hammer of man can be weathered by the hand of time so is true in the reverse or if not is it even real beyond the sense of an idea? The theme of loss of innocence and maturation is always taken highly erroneous in the anglosphere which I mean that stagnation is not in any way better than chaos meaning a prison or a desert, none is better but you leave the impression of taking stagnation as better. Nothing lasts forever which even the most ardent poet has learned seeing the last night of love, the first day of war. One analogy for round finality. Grapes can be made in to sweet must but if not matured to an intoxicating wine it will only turn to sour silt-water if not give even the end use as vinegar, same is with the human being and their own maturation.

When i was a little older I started to understand this was a sad story and didn't want to watch it any more. Years later I saw it through more mature eyes and appreciated the story and messages it was trying to tell. Much like the movie itself.
