    First off I appreciate the video. My issue is, is that the fan is engaging but sounds god awful. Almost like a can on the back of a bicycle tire. You think the fan went bad? Is that a thing? I know I'm gonna have to pull everything off but I just did new coolant before storing. Don't feel like draining it but is what it is.

    Oil filter in backwards

  • @johnpaulson996
    @johnpaulson996 2 года назад

    Recommended oil is 5W30. Don't want oil on top of the engine on start-up? Use the unrecommended 10W30...... Does not matter that it is summer.

    • @garvensgarage8903
      @garvensgarage8903 2 года назад

      Thicker oil will only allow for more oil on the top end of the engine. Not less.

    • @johnpaulson996
      @johnpaulson996 2 года назад

      @@garvensgarage8903 I am not actually sure you know how to read oil viscosity. The first number is start up viscosity. Getting oil on top of the engine is critical from the oil pump during start up.10W30 is thicker than 5W30 at start up and will increase wear.

    • @johnpaulson996
      @johnpaulson996 2 года назад

      @@garvensgarage8903 I suppose you know more than all those engineers and scientists at Lexus. I use the recommended oil, I do not want to wear my engine at startup. Summer and winter startup temps are not much different compared to operating temps.
