I agree 100 %. I would happily jump to another ship, but there is a but. All my editing in Lightroom is baked into the database. Jumping to another app means that I lose all the hard work I have put into editing my photos. I know that ON1 has same import function to preserve LR adjustments. From what I read it's a mixed bag of success. If anyone have an idea how to preserve edits when moving to another app I'm all ears.

I watched it to the end and especially towards the end it started feeling like you were just salty, like when he was saying about the click sounds it's like the toggle switch for click sounds is like 2 switches lower than the one you toggled just click that buddy. So many ''who would use this" comments and it's like that's purely you're opinion I can think of 10 reasons every time of why someone would use it. "Who would use or need an inbuilt screenshot tool" uh sir you mean to tell me to open up clunky windows application snipping tool instead of just a quick screencap button? I love that feature in things like Runelite. I'm sure you can even set up to auto save the picture afterwards to a set location so you don't have to save it like you do in snipping tool. I agree with things like privacy and all of those points. I don't personally use it and wouldn't likely to want to if data is forced to be reported back to a Government anywhere. I feel like a lot of comments are just subjective. Also to the people saying things like there's nothing negative about it etc, I literally made the statement before the video started to my spouse that it must suck that merely searching up 'Opera GX' and the 2 suggested youtube videos on the web or it could have been the first 2 when I clicked the videos tab in the google search I can't remember which and now i've technically tainted the experiment as such (doesn't matter anyway), either way both were HIGHLY negative, this being the first result. Not sure why people are talking about the browser and having the negatives not brought to light, it's about the only thing people making videos seem to do about it other than sponsorships.

i understand people being doubtful about paralives since it's been in development for so long, but if you pay for their patreon, you can see them adding new features and assets to the game every week. it's taking forever because a life sim is an extremely daunting task and they're a small team working off crowdfunding. early access is expected some time in 2025 so if all goes according to plan we should get to play an incomplete version in a matter of months!

I don't even REMOTELY agree with your take on the look/layout of the browser but I agree with your concerns on privacy and criticisms of the gimmicks. I used to love using it but moved to Brave as my main browser in late 2021, and completely uninstalled GX earlier this year. I really did like the look, I absolutely loved the side bar and how things like the messengers popped out from it (I want that for Brave), I thought GX Corner was a neat concept, the home page was always great IMO and I actually liked the GX sounds. However, when they started hardcore pushing all these gimmicks and in-browser games, it started to really lose me. And, of course, the privacy concerns were a massive issue for me.

My favorite farming sims are Stardew, and Sun Haven, and Fields of Mistria gives me a mix of both so I couldn't love it more def made it to my top 3 lol!

Sims needs a new engine. It's quite clear 4 is chugging the last breaths of it. Engines are costly and EA has been messing up every game they had with forcing Frostbite. I cannot imagine Frostbite on Sims and I guess neither does EA. So .. they are in situation of Sims needing new engine, EA not having one for it as it relied on Frostbite ... so either develop new engine and waste countless amount of money on investment, or you focus on releasing dlc's people like me buy. If I recall EA did the stupid thing of buying out owners of engine Sims used, they proceeded to to nothing with them and then close them. Sadly, Sims could really use that dev studio existance to base new version of engine on it.

I see Paralives as the "original" project that started this "new life sim game in development" wave and I have a feeling it will be the last one standing in the end. It is crazy for me to see people who still think it's a scam or "too good to be true" after 5 years of steady progress with solid proof... For instance, they were at a gaming conference in Canada and let people try out the Build Mode, and also weekly private Patreon content (which I myself am subscribing to).

I literally cant play ts4 without dozens of gameplay mods to make it actually interesting and worthwhile. Modders are out there fixing their game for FREE, yet EA cant even manage to release a dlc that isnt completely broken on launch, while also charging $40 for one GB of content! Even tho ts3 was lagged to hell most of the time i could get an enjoyable experience out of it with very few, if any mods.

I have never played The Sims 4, and I never will. When I get the urge to play a life sim game, I return to The Sims 3, buggy as it is. I was disappointed by the cancellation of Life by You, and I'm concerned about the slow development of Paralives. But I really hope that Inzoi launches as a good game, in a good technical state. What the genre needs is a viable competitor to The Sims franchise, else EA will have no reason to do more than continue milking The Sims 4 for a few more decades.

Paralives will be my replacement for the sims....I will never play the sims 4 again once paralives releases

Project Rene is being made in Unreal Engine 5 just like InZoi. I wouldn't be surprised if EA rebuilds The Sims 4 from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5 just to continue milking the game. Afterall The Sims 4 is a cash cow and will be unplayable in the next year. I have a lot of hope for Inzoi! They were at GamesCom and what they showed, was really insanely promising. A bit clunky still, but as someone who misses the Sims Franchise, it felt really promising! They also gave out some real fun goodies and had that huge cat hanging above us all lmao
