    Great video on a common client concern! Do you know of a way to import historical Gmail activity in-bulk to HubSpot using the mbox file that Google provides as an export?

      I love the idea! HubSpot only accepts csv, xlxs, and xls files. You could use an mbox-to-csv converter or Thunderbird add-on to convert it, but then make sure to pay attention to the column headers of your new csv to ensure smooth, error-free importing. Email Body and Email Direction are the required fields to create and associate new email records. The other applicable fields are Email Subject, Activity Assigned To, and Activity Date. And of course, don't forget that we want to associate the email with the correct contact, so make sure to include their email address!

    Did HS do away with Marketing Contact billing? I'm seeing zero in my "Marketing Contact until next update" field and I don't see any other related fields? However, I'm being billed for an extra 30,000 contacts as I approach 40k.

      From HubSpot's KB: Marketing contact until next update: specifies if this contact will be set as non-marketing on the next update date. When you set an existing marketing contact as non-marketing, the property value will change to Yes, which indicates that the non-marketing status will take effect on the next update date. knowledge.hubspot.com/properties/hubspots-default-contact-properties#:~:text=Marketing%20contact%20until%20next%20update%20(Marketing,effect%20on%20the%20next%20update%20date You want to see "Yes" in this field, meaning it will mark that contact as a non-marketing contact on the first of the month. Run the Bad List workflow and that 0 should go up, indicating that contacts will be set to non-marketing. That should drop the 30k contacts. Gotta do it before the first of the month!

    When I go Settings> Objects> Leads, I see completely different options. I see Lead Ownership, with toggles for syncing lead owner and activities, and the two tabs at the top are Setup and Pipeline. Is this video out of date?

      HubSpot is always making updates and improvements to their platform, so the Leads Object will look different today than it did when we posted this video a few months back.       For B2C lead scoring, while standard firmographic info like geography can still be relevant, the contacts behavior and engagement with your website and marketing assets will make up most of your attributes.

Please note, however, that there are limitations based on what tier of Marketing Hub you have: Free: One blog on the same subdomain as your website. Up to 100 blog posts, 20 authors, and 50 tags. Includes HubSpot branding. Starter: One blog on the same subdomain as your website. Up to 100 blog posts, 20 authors, and 50 tags. Includes HubSpot branding. Professional: Up to 100 blogs on unlimited subdomains. Includes 10K blog posts, up to 2K authors, and 5K tags. Remove HubSpot branding. Enterprise: Up to 100 blogs on unlimited subdomains. Includes 10K blog posts, up to 2K authors, and 5K tags. Remove HubSpot branding. If you have Professional or Enterprise tier, you would first set your domain under Settings > Website > Domains & URLs. Then you'd create your blog(s) under Settings > Website > Blog. Click the "Current View" drop-down at the top, and click the blue "Create New Blog" hyperlink. After you've completed your set-up, anytime you create a new blog post you'll get a pop-up window that asks you to select a blog, which is where you're able to add specific posts to a particular blog.

      Yes! You need to be on CMS Enterprise-where you get up to 10 domains-or Marketing Enterprise and then pay for the additional Business Unit features. This article explains more --> knowledge.hubspot.com/domains-and-urls/connect-additional-brand-domains. That said, you CAN connect multiple email sending domains for free, but for website/landing pages/knowledge base/etc., you will have to upgrade to either CMS Enterprise or Marketing Enterprise + the BU feature.

      No, you can not prevent groups of users from seeing or opting in/out of certain email subscription types. But you can 1) suppress those users when sending emails of a certain type, and/or 2) use a workflow to automatically opt them out of specific email subscription types.

Do ticket assignees have to have paid HubSpot accounts? 3. If so for either, what is minimum paid amount? THANKS!!

      NO, you do not need to have a Paid Service Seat to create or manage a ticket, no matter whether it's created via form submission, shared inbox message, or manually. Paid Seats do get additional features (Playbooks, Documents, Snippets, etc.), but any user can use the Ticket feature as long as their permissions grant them Ticket access. Ticket assignees DO have to be a HubSpot user, but do NOT need a Paid Seat. They can just be a regular ol' user, just make sure they have Ticket access in the permission settings! The Pro Tier of Service Hub comes with 5 Paid Seats. You can purchase additional Seats in any increment if you need them, but I recommend trying it withOUT additional Paid Seats. You may find that you don't need to spend any extra money, and if you find you do need your users to have Paid Seats, HubSpot will always sell them to you, anytime of year.       YES! Build an active, contact-based list (just like usual), but instead of filtering on Contacts in the dropdown, select Tickets instead. From there you can select ticket properties to build your list upon.

    Could you show me how to add "email opens" and "clicks" as scoring criteria? That's really what we are looking for the type of sales we do.

      Hi Matthew! Head over to your HubSpot Score property by clicking the Setting cog in the top right corner > selecting Properties from the lefthand menu > use the search bar to find HubSpot Score. Once you're there, click Add Criteria > under Filter Type, select Contact Properties > search for "marketing emails" and you'll see several options, including "marketing emails opened" and "marketing emails clicked" > select your first criteria (email opens for example) and specify how many opens you'd like to award points for... for example, if you want to award points when a contact opens 5 or more marketing emails, you'd select "is greater than or equal to" and type "5" in the bar.       To show contacts by subscription type, you'd go to Contacts > Lists > Create list > Active list > Add filter > Contact/Email Subscriptions > Contact has opted into all of. This list will populate with contacts opted IN to that subscription type, though you are able to email anyone as long as they've not opted OUT.
