    I’ve been waiting for this I don’t have a scriber yet since I just got an airbrush and will be trying to learn that first but when I do I will come back to this video to help me out. Also if you don’t mind me asking how long have you been doing this hobby for?

    • @TeaandGunpla
      @TeaandGunpla 8 дней назад

      I have been thinking about getting an airbrush too, but I don’t have space for a decent setup right now… so I’m sticking with hand painting. I started back in 2021, when I was in lockdown.

      @@TeaandGunpla I’ve thought about hand painting but trying to do a whole model seems a little daunting so I decided to just go for it and buy an airbrush. I’ve only been doing them for 8 months about and and idk if this sounds weird cause I can’t really all say but you seem pretty experienced for doing it for 3 years. Anyways keep up the good work.

      Hand painting take its time but can be really rewarding. I am planning to do a video about it in the future 100%. To be honest I had been into similar hobbies before, like w40k for example, so I didn't start from zero. Also to become experienced you don't need just time but the will to do research and always try to improve yourself. Like getting an airbrush and learn how to use it!

    I just found your channel today I really enjoy it I’ve watched all your videos so far. Also I was wondering if you were gonna make a video about scribing I’ve been thinking of trying to start but I don’t know how I’ve watched some videos about it but I feel none of them explain how to mirror it on to another part and they never say what a good chisel would be. Also I would love to see another review keep up the good work.

    A very interesting method and looks really good on the model. I always make it from round rods and not from the runners, but it's definitely a nice solution. You can also carefully round the edges with a rotary tool or clamp the rod in the rotary tool and round it off with some sandpaper. Then no edges can occur.

    • @TeaandGunpla
      @TeaandGunpla 20 дней назад

      Thank you! Using rods it’s the standard way, but I think sometimes it’s nice to use something more unconventional and I like to recycle too

    So surprise to see how many tools from Ray Studio is featured in this video. They are not very well known outside China but they are great quality and reasonable priced. I remember waiting a whole year to get their scribers because the demand was so high. Ray himself is also a great gunpla builder.

I couldn’t get the scriber too, so I decided to go for the Dspiae one, but Ray just released the new model and I’m thinking about giving it a shot.

      Thank you very much! I did not try the Dspiae siren, but I can tell you that it is a great brand. Alternatively I can recommend the Raser Plus combined with the Balancer. I had great results with them. www.gunprimer.com/raser-plus www.gunprimer.com/balancer As nipper cutter any will work to separate the part from the sprue, I use the Godhand Pn-125. Not expensive and it is very good. www.amazon.com/GodHand-Nipper-PN-125-Plastic-Cutting/dp/B07NWBG938/ref=sr_1_10?crid=3B2GIN9GWURWA&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.bG759yGyEvsboWqreB_1NRRA4bC4OuZ2S1dPLbFwCz6xuMpXshDppmCzlLj6olhCPCvkNeMeDE_IyHIe9BHClvxRbKIi94OqzpfsYhRI8s98PqjccfjNW7aeO390AlgZBOfngzBVcxhO9c1EkOOQ8yq5sAWyrJgjDGVv07pMq7knpEsbyNgjLYPF6QuMu4x0_RITILAsJHz47ipyr9rIXGeZYACPYbRghy5cYg1asL0uyqjtIR93BGOyKqF5KOElyqzalloMX6MryRflq1wZRq-VcXKIPaC3bwcwCst0qEc.6AZX1NYrCxS89f8Mp-hI5aKFFwv4mXnsHki_LPQrdbQ&dib_tag=se&keywords=tamiya+side+cutter&qid=1714611965&sprefix=tamiya+side+cutt%2Caps%2C364&sr=8-10 Let me know if you need any more tips!

      @@TeaandGunpla yes i heard that the dspiae siren is the more budget friendly of gun primer raser. I'm now torn between choosing the god hand pn 125 or the hobby mio entry level nipper + Hobby mio hm 105 which when it comes down to it is a bit cheaper than pn 125.

      Sorry for the late reply! I had to go abroad for a bit and things got a bit messy! If you are still pondering about your choice, I can tell you that Godhand in general is a great investment. They keep sharp for long time and they will last forever, if you maintain them properly. In case you got the Dspiae Siren, please let me know how is it going. I could get one too for an upcoming review of alternatives. Cheers

      @@TeaandGunpla Hey no worries, yea I'm pretty satisfied with the god hand pn125. On the other hand the Siren felt awkward to use imo. its really eating all the plastic especially the edges, and the edges often touch the other plastic part. I think part of it is how I use the siren but, in my case the Siren is do more harm than good in most cases. In the end I'm using sanding sponge for much better result, just like you said the glass file will give you faster result but with much less control and in the Siren case its really awkward to control lol. Anyway happy to see you back, cant wait for your next upload :)
