The news report, broadcast on March 23, was about how parents are too thick to help their kids with homework and how technology was being used to solve the problem. Muffett played his part in underlining how thick adults can be when he interviewed a young girl called Le...

Steed together with Tara King, Emma Peel, Perdie, Cathy Gale, and Mike Gambit would have easily gone into combat with Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane of fictional Hazzard County featured in the classic 1979-85 CBS action adventure comedy series titled “THE DUKES OF HAZZARD”.

They should've used the characters names..weird
He was in the sweeney
that bass is killer
The theme always seems to be on the verge of evolving into "Ground floor: perfumery. Stationery and leather goods. Wigs and haberdashery. Kitchenware and food. Going up" (the "Are You Being Served?" theme)
As I recall, this show was filmed in Canada, for financial reasons. Everyone is saying how British it is. Still a good show.
Must be the cheapest made advert in TV history. No location, no special effects... just an empty stage and two players.
Here after there being discontinued :(
I wonder where this driver is now ?
lol “choob”
Why does he call her Jen, and not Pen?
@@waldenhouse He calls her Jan.
the purdey kicks used to give me a bonk on.
We could certainly do with a “United World” right now.
The New Avengers starts on Great TV ( Freeview 50) on 05-08-2024 @ 21:00.
😍😍😍😍😍
2024 or 2025
I didn't know Ralph Mctell liked Yorkies
😂
He only ever played himself and got quite tiresome. Jan was a very good actress and was excellent in Secret Army.
I was able to track this down on DVD and was able to re-watch the whole series.
That lorry MGH868P was a DAF, new in September 1975, last tax expired March 1983, only lasted seven years.
That's amazing you know this 😱
Back in the day, I remember watching the show's intro, and being amused that the little stuffed tiger was billed as part of the cast. They say it fell apart after all the episodes were completed.
I remember this advert vividly. Thanks for posting
When Men were Men💪💪
Brilliant intro music. Still stirs the blood old boy!!
Just love these two actors together amazing
Did they script this after enjoying Hugh Hudson's The Tortoise and the Hare for Pirelli?
Just bought a Choc & raisin one, they didn't have the milk chocolate in stock. Milk chocolate brick that makes all you teeth fall out - eventually.... there, they don't make reference to that do they!
10 year old me totally loved The New Avengers. Especially Johanna Lumley. The theme still gives me goosebumps, awesome.
The bass line love it!!!!!! Loved the show as a kid, very James Bondish 🤗
Now it's a Lego brick😅
Grown kids from The Lost Island are watching this right now.
Rowntree from York before Nestles bought it and flogged off most of the factory for posh flats, and now they are stopping making Yorkies. Bring back to the UK, Rowntree Macintosh, Cadbury, Needlers, Terry's.
Love that era of total analog tech. Natural
Jan is definitely tastier than the chocolate ❤❤
well I'll be bumswizzled , only just found out this was Mr Peters from Worzel Gummidge
Love the homage to the movie Convoy.. open sports car and hot chick😅
Brilliant series and follow up to The Avengers. Thank you for all the entertainment, Steed, Gambit and Purdy 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
R.I.P. Laurie Johnson, the theme music is fantastic! I `ll definitely miss you so much.😭💔
Awsome Baseline
None funkier
Where did she go? Out. What did she do? Everything.
Jeez, those stuntmen really earned their day-rate on that one...
Back in GREECE, we had both the original "The Avengers" and the "New Avengers" on GREEK Television in the 1970s! I was HOOKED on both!! And this is one (of MANY reasons!!) that my FAVORITE genre of entertainment has ALWAYS been SPY novels, SPY movies, SPY TV series, MYSTERY novels, MYSTERY movies, and MYSTERY TV series!!!! (slightly more than my HISTORY novels, my HISTORY movies and my HISTORY TV series!!))
I visited Greece in the early 90s and noticed that the Greeks loved James Bond films on TV particularly those with the late Sir Roger Moore!
Thus theme ROCKS
That drum roll....
The last main character survivor of Are You Being Served?
Alain Commageat ❤
Still sell therm. The more healthy chocolate biscuit without the massive calories and still tasty enough
Always loved this theme.
