In my first video of 2023 we discuss the dangleway located in London's East End and weather it actually has a practical use. If you pay £20 in total with any method to skip the queue. Oyster and contactless can be...

I had precisely one ride on the East London line before it closed. It must have been about a year or two beforehand. I remember how "rough" a lot of the people looked who were using the line compared to other tube lines. (Probably not a politically correct thing to say these days). When you use the same stations today on the Overground, that isn't true anymore. The people using it now are pretty much the same types of people who use the rest of the London transport network. I didn't ride it because I knew it was going to close. I rode it because I'd never been on it and just wanted to see what it was like. I was surprised that the trains were the big type like what you get on the Metropolitan Line. I wasn't expecting that.

It's really useful if you are riding a bicycle and cannot use the Jubilee Line to cross the river. The cable car is halfway between the Greenwich Tunnel and the Woolwich Ferry, the next two crossings.

BA became a very ordinary airline after the retirement of Concorde. Add to that, a drubbing from the low cost carriers, with customers taking SH business in that direction, rather than pay way over the odds for BA. They stood still with their LH product too, never catching up with the likes of Emirates, Qatar, Cathay and SAL. Theyve just relied on its old rep from the 80s and 90s, which the travelling public is more in tune to, and taking their business elsewhere.

5:14 at the terminal station tube trains generally go through a process called stepping back what happens is that the driver gets off the train and closes the front cab he/she then pushes a plunger that signals the driver at the opposite end of the platform that they are clear and the train is now ready to leave as soon as possible. This is to save the driver from walking down the platform and opening the other cab, this happens on a variety of tube lines

I like the old remnants of the East London line across the network. Used to be my local line; it's like a part of history hidden in plain sight. I hope the TfL bods don't try and change things up when the heritage of the line gets bulldozed later this year. Also, if you want some more old signs, take a look at the platform wall diagrams on the JLE stations. Most of them haven't been updated in a long while - although they don't illuminate them anymore so it might be harder to spot!

These signs are even kind of outdated as in sure that the line colour arrows stopped being used to show interchanges maybe in the early 2000s.

The 1983 stock actually entered service in 1984. With the second batch constructed in 1987/88, these trains were only in service between 10 and 14 years before being scrapped. A criminal waste.

I think you you missed one of the stations reincarnations, When the 1960s station was built, which took some time, another station hall was built on the opposite side of the track (towards Grahame Park). If you stand on the platform, and look up towards the retaining wall, you can clearly see the part of the brickwork where the hole was made for the stairs.

Now Im curious about a race between the Cable Car and the bus once Silvertown Tunnel opens, I believe the 129 bus will serve that part of Silvertown. But as of right now, Boris Johnson has done nothing to solve East London's river crossing issue. If he wasnt such an foolish, incompotent moron or if Livingstone still had his way, We wouldve had a new bridge in Gallions Reach linking Beckton and Thamesmead with pedestrian and cycling routes and a DLR extension to mirror the route. More cross river buses wouldve have been implemented and improved East London transportation.

To be honest, I think tfl should have kept the Charing Cross branch like on the northern line and have a Charing Cross branch and a Stratford branch via Westminster. That could’ve worked instead of abandoning the station.

The story of the jubilee line In 1979, the jubilee line was opened on 1st may by the prince of Wales and that will run from Stanmore to Charing Cross and the new stations are: Canons Park, Queensbury, Kingsbury, Wembley Park, Neasden, Dolis Hill, Willesden Green, Kilburn, West Hampstead, Finchley Road, Swiss Cottage, St John’s Wood and Baker Street, well it temporarily taken over the Bakerloo line but there are 2 new stations! Bond Street that will change Central line and Green Park that will change Piccadilly and Victoria lines! And then it will temporarily terminate at Charing Cross that will change Bakerloo and Northern lines! In 1983, new trains are arriving in the Jubilee line! They will make a fleet line and it keeps going to Thamesmead West! In 1992, they decided not to make a fleet line to Thamesmead West, they will just create and terminating at Stratford! The new stations are Westminster, Waterloo, Southwark, London Bridge, Bermondsey, Canada Water, Canary Wharf, North Greenwich, Canning Town, West Ham and Stratford. In 1993, work begins by doing Green Park to Stratford and it will end up in Charing Cross! In 1998, 1983 trains are run out of service. This is the 1996 stock in 1998! These are famous engines! In 1999, the extension to Stratford was complete! These are some of the most iconic futuristic platforms on the Jubilee line in Hong Kong, London Bridge, Westminster, Canary Wharf and North Greenwich! In 2006, the 1996 stock has 7 carriages. In 2017, The bright yellow have become silver and it has been refurbished! The end of the jubilee line

I think the issue lies with the budget airlines. British Airways (BA) observes the practices of carriers like Ryanair, EasyJet (though not as much), and Wizz. Despite their subpar customer service and fares that aren’t exactly “bargain” prices, these three airlines continue to attract a steady stream of passengers. BA seems to be contemplating, “Why remain British Airways when we could transform into Budget Airways?”.

Flew BA to Mauritius last year on a 777. The experience was very basic. didn't feel special or cared for. staff just did their job and that was it. From being the worlds favourite airline that once really pushed the boat out, and was a world leader in Aviation to lackluster average airline... Very sad to see that passion gone

When Surrey Docks station, then on the East London Line, was renamed Surrey Quays, brand new signs were installed a few weeks in advance with the new name, but with vinyl stickers with "Docks" on affixed over the word "Quays!!" These were peeled off on the day of the name change. The same technique was also used at Southgate tube station when it was temporarily renamed "Gareth Southgate" for a few dsys!
