    Okay I know I've played Pole Position at least a few times in the various arcades growing up. I think mostly at the ones I passed through in vegas or at mini golf places. I miss the simplistic design of games back in the day but also the solid hardware that you had to play them with. All of the various emulators or console versions are fun but they don't do the game justice compared to the real deal.

    The Ship of Theseus, also known as Theseus's Paradox, is a thought experiment and paradox about whether an object is the same object after having all of its original components replaced.

    • @tcurtis49
      @tcurtis49 12 дней назад

      I have heard this several times and it’s certainly a good though experiment regarding these old games as well. If someone manufactures a new one, is it the same thing? I remember these machines! we had the Super Mario Bros one at our pizza hut, and I remember showing my mom and saying "this is the game that comes with a nintendo -- wait till you see these graphics!" ... and we played before and after our meal, and my mom was as hooked as I was. Incidentally, when we DID get a nintendo at Christmastime that year, my mom saved the Princess before I did. **eyeroll** I was so mad! I remember telling her it was weird that she was an adult playing video games (I was just mad though lol... and being petty... hey I was only 11 so give me a break!). At any rate, I also managed to save the princess, and when I got SMB3, I had it in MY ROOM on my little TV, so I got to beat that one before she did! Anyway, sorry for my long ramblings, but this brought back some nice memories. RIP to my Super Mario Mom (she passed in 2017)♥ Thank you for sharing this amazing restoration with us!!
