Is there a brand with fresh/frozen food that’s suitable for SMALL breed puppies?

Thank you for this, Dr Rea! My pup turned one a few months ago and I switched to Purina Dog Chow because of this video. It took a while for his stomach a bit to adjust - it would cut right through him at 25% tapered. I ended up giving him 5-10 kibbles with his puppy food then slowly giving more. I appreciate it hits all the nutrient needs at an affordable price. Reddit was telling me to get Purina Pro but I am thankful I found Dog Chow, much more affordable!

My vet suggested Hill’s, but I’m looking for an alternative that not only supports kidney health but also uses top-quality ingredients. I value your expertise and would love to hear your opinion on other options that balance therapeutic benefits with premium ingredient standards. I was thinking about Farmina Vet Life Renal.

What about homemade treats?

I just lost a2.9 yr old, well bred GSD. stay away from pulses in grain free. Feed wellness and home made his whole short life. DCM

Hi Dr. Rea. I want to switch my dog to pro plan. I just don’t know whether I should choose large breed food. My Lab is 2.5 years old and 55 pounds. Is this considered large? Also, should I be concerned about canola meal?

I have neighbor that has all this cats and leaves her garage a few inches opened so they can go in and out, so they wonder around the neighborhood.. but now they have all this kittens roaming around.. 😞

Thank you for this video! I have 7 dogs ages 1-15 three of them are 15. I do brush their teeth daily and it’s like an assembly line that takes 30 minutes a night. My vet is very impressed with the health of their teeth and gums.

Thank you for this! My older dog has a broken tooth and has a dental surgery scheduled in a few weeks. I've been nervous about his procedure, but now I feel a bit better. Hopefully they won't find any problems other than the broken tooth. (I DO NOT recommend those nylabone/benebone toys by the way. Bad idea for dog teeth!)

So what is your reccomendation for healthy kibble? Hills Palmolive? Royal Mars Candy. If so, what are your kickbacks and how much of schooling did Nestle pay for?

When you pull teeth, especially molar, will the other teeth shift position in jaw with a tooth missing?

I was told to give my seven pound chihuahua half of a children’s tablet. They have different flavors and I’m not sure which kind to give them. I looked at the grape but when I read up on the ingredients for the grape I’m not sure it’s safe. Could you tell me which one to use please. She has bad allergies

At least it came back and not through! My cats play with my grandson's Nerf darts all the time. They bat them around and carry them in their mouth! When they stop, I pick them up. Then the cats find more! LOL

Did you ask Farmina if they ever had an FDA label audit?

I can pretty much guarantee its not cod.

Don’t believe a word you see on social media about this brand. And don’t believe what you here about European pet food standards. It is rubbish.

I have two dogs and when I got the 2nd at 9 wks old, I decided to put them both on the Proplan puppy (because it was all life stages) taking each dog off their Royal Canin puppy & adult. My vet talked to me about the all life stages not being the best for them and that she didn’t recommend but I really didn’t understand until I found your channel! You are a great teacher and provide information in a way it all makes sense. I took my dogs off the all life stages Proplan over a year ago and went back to Royal Canin medium adult.

Hello I received the dry analysis for Origen puppy ancient grains anyway could I email it to you ? They did say they do feed trials on all their food formulas.

Some of the options have corn meal, rice in the first 5. I’m making Gooses food & he’s eating better than me. Lol! He has his vitamins, minerals & omega 3,6,9’s. Organ meats, chicken etc Do you need to feed kibble or can you try to achieve meals fresh on your own? Thanks so much

Only reason I don’t really like diamond is, that all the dogs I know that are on it, have really soft stools. And lots of gas. I think the best diamond pet food is the Kirkland and the tractor supply brand .

Hi Ma’am, I have a 5 months old English golden retriever m. He is 18 kgs in weight and looks quite healthy to me. I recently took him to a vet and he said that he is underweight and wrote a ton of supplements. I feel that he has a vested interest because he also sells the said supplements. I would love to do a paid video consultation with you, and take your feedback. I totally understand if you might be too busy to take an online consultation. I feed my dog farmina N&D ancestral grains 360gms daily. And removed all other supplements.
