As far as the rarities go, to clarify a bit more: 1-star was common, 3-star was uncommon, 5-star was rare, and 6-star was super rare. (Ultra rare?) 2-star denounced it was a "promo" card, they varried in availability by card, and weren't normal parts of sets, hence the set numbers starting with "P." I remember there were these "sensu bean" booster packs for $1 that only had 3 cards in them, and one card in every pack was a 2-star "King Cold's Sword Trick," iirc. 4-star meant a starter-deck exclusive card. And tbh, I didn't even know that 7-star cards existed, lol.

Essentially America cut the first 15 episodes because they weren't action enough. Personally, as someone who will rewatch GT on its own any day of the week and sees the entire show as an all-in-one package, I liked that the Black Star saga (aka Lost Episodes), took the series back to its adventurous roots, with the following arcs then umping up the action we were used to. To me, while GT is by no means a perfect show, to me it was a great fusion of classic DB adventure and hardcore DBZ action.

Never played it on genesis before but now I must!

To this day the Ocean and Funimation dubs are my favourite way to watch DBZ, as it's what I grew up watching. I tried to watch Dragon Ball Z Kai but just couldn't get into it because of the different music. The Ocean and Funimation dubs had the best music which made the scenes in the show way more epic and I just can't watch any other version of DBZ without those iconic sound tracks.

The reason they're the colours they are is because that is the colour they were in the arcade machine. The pink gun connects into the bottom of the blue gun. Says that in the manual. Very expensive to get that pink gun in the box. The Genesis cart version has a black and white manual in my set as well, where my Mega CD box set had a glossy cover colour manual.

To me the movies were butchered on dvd and 2022's bluray because they cropped the picture to 16/9. The best are actually the VHS because they have the 4/3 original aspect ratio which is the way it is supposed to be watched.

i remember getting them from deka and toy world back in the day. still have my cards but i was only around 10 when it was big but pretty much every kid in Taranaki was playing this until yugioh came out

I had that same calendar and I got March and I thought it was ok. Though my favorite dbz characters are Future Trunks and Piccolo.

I remember getting so many of these but my main issue is I lived in the middle of nowhere and my mom was one of those who didn't feel like driving into town.. like ever.. unless SHE had to. So I RARELY would get to play.

The music aspect has always been a deal breaker for me. I'd rather have a lower-quality video than miss out on the Faulconer score.
