What I loved most about this movie was how very humanizing it was of these women. As a social service provider working on Aurora Ave many of my clients are sex workers who struggle with substance use issues. They are not druggies and prostitutes. they are mothers, sisters, daughters, partners. When I mentally scroll through individuals I've known, words that come to mind are smart, talented, resourceful, educated, generous, hilarious, hopeful, kind. And vulnerable. They are so very vulnerable out there. It's the one thing they all have in common. Well, that and extraordinary resilience. So, two things. I wish everyone could watch this movie. I believe it would be eye-opening for a lot of folks.

We know a country named Republic of China occupied a province called Taiwan. we appreciate Taiwan people insistence on their ways of life, that's very okay, no problem, but not take our land and say this is my house because I have been living here. I have no doubt the director of this documentary had good intentions, but there's an awful lot that she must have ignored to make this kind of film for the rest of the world to consume.

As someone that struggles with addiction and loves documentary films I can't wait to see this film.

It's uncanny how many people are lonely and have mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional health issues due to despair and disunity. As mothers and fathers, we know "It Takes a Village" to raise a family, and the same holds true for boosting a person's spirit, energy, health benefits and building family and friendship relationships. It's shocking how many people are waiting for 'someone' to reach out to them ... why!?!?!? If you can communicate in some way, I pray that you try to reach out to someone in your family, neighborhood, church, work, etc., as there might be people like you who wish someone would take the first step and speak with them. To create a Village requires participation, and that equates to = YOU! When I hear people feel comfortable eating, going to movies, walking, going to church alone, etc., and while that is a sign that you are not co-dependent, does that really make you feel loved, happy, and whole? Do you wish, feel, or think about the benefits of 'what if' someone else was enjoying these activities with you? If you do, then please understand the Village starts with = YOU!

The opening remarks of this video made me shiver... The Spirit should lead us to do so when we watch of the difficulties of others dealing with political tyranny. Wake up, America... it's already in the backdrop of our country.
