A beautiful narration by a fella with a net worth of $350million. I appreciate him speaking as one of us. Another very powerful and patriotic actmerican.
The dumbest thing on Earth is to criticize, a wealthy person who is criticizing other wealthy people. We should always appreciate when the call is coming from inside the house and the alarm is being pulled by someone in the house. If you don't understand what I'm saying, I wouldn't be surprised because you made the dumbest comment ever.
I'm skeptical regarding the agenda here. But I'm impressed that someone is finally admitting that lowering interest rates to ridiculous lows is NOT good for the country. It drove up housing prices to the unaffordable prices that freeze out the middle class. Alan Greenspan started this scheme in 2001 after the World Trade Center attacks. By lowering interest rates to below 1 percent, he theorized these low rates would excite the middle class into buying houses and take their minds off the Trade Center attack. It worked. It was brilliant but had a big downside. This resulted in housing prices rising to the ridiculous levels they are now. Most people only look at their monthly payment, not the actual price of the house or the cost of the interest. Homebuyers became like foolish gamblers. And every time someone bids a house up, they hurt us all. Greenspan also hurt savers, who often save just to survive. Lowering rates below 1% has hurt America and 3% is not much of an improvement. People are complaining about current interest rates. A few years ago they were as high as 14%, but the cost of a house was much, much lower.
Corporatons drove up the housing prices. Many single family homes were purchased with cash deals from companies such as Blackrock..so let's not divert where the problem really is. Our politician's have supported corporate America-not America for the people.
You’re forgetting that Dodd and Frank (I believe they were the ones) pushed legislation that mandated that banks and mortgage companies have to lower their lending standards to include people who under normal circumstances would not qualify for loans because of their credit, income, etc. Yes, this included black and Latino people but white people too. If one claims racism then why (did or) do black banks reject loan applications from black applicants at a higher rate than white banks? This comes directly from Thomas Sowell who Douglas and Levinsin should have made a documentary about rather than this predictable remake of previously released films…
Larry Summers... I doubt that he will do anything to benefit middle-class income. He certainly had his opportunity while serving in two Democratic administrations. And certainly was among those who let off those business leaders whose activities led to 2008 recession. And of course what about improving benefits in income for low-income workers: always this talk about middle-income benefits.
all mass scale societies eventual fail and fails faster as we rebuild them bigger, with more population and diversity in thought; mass scale societies are only made possible by economic development, it's been so since farming, since we decided to stockpile, once we have excess, excess food, population, industries, then you need armies, both to defend your excess and to acquire additional opportunities, and everything else that comes with it, insurance, finance, education, healthcare, entertainment, and through all this development is one cyclical result - disparity, wealth always ends up somewhere specific, whether that's within your own borders or outside of it, disparity always happens, and when it does, what follows is the changing of leadership by vote, wars or revolutions. We need to better understand how tribal life worked so well for humanity and intergrade it into our modern existence. In a tribal environment, no one is just a number and one person's suffering is the suffering of the tribe, this is no so in large scale economic societies, where systems are built so individual suffering can be ignored while the system marches on and remain functional at full speed, all for the sake of keeping the excess coming. We don't have to stop farming but we need to rethink how and who should be empowered by having control over natural resources and our basic needs, as well as the basic notion that wealth and power shall be focused on a singular individual, whether that'd be the president or the owner of a private business.
Nobody wants to hear voices selected by "their color". We want to hear voices who actually have something to say. Stop the stupidity of playing the victim card and make the effort to say something worth listening to. We don't care who you or your ancestors are (mine come from Latin America; is that the only reason why they should be heard, really?). But we do care if you have something interesting to say. That's all.

This should be shown on all streaming venues not theaters. Most can't afford to go.
after a week or so it will be streaming somewhere

why is this trailer NOT being shown on Regal's website? It shows movie times but no trailer???
why the hell is this movie being played for elites Nantucket, Sedona, san Monica, DC, NYC no where for middle class to watch it this is disappointing
Because the movie is Democratic so it needs to be shown where LibTards will watch it. Lol
Looks good, but shame on Tribeca for charging $30 for a ticket to a very important, relevant documentary. Is it in Imax? 3D?!!!
Maybe open bar??
Oh the irony. Capitalism!!
It is on Amazon Prime Video.
Should be free, but hey.
Guess I won't be watching it.
Looking forward to this.
I can't find this on DVD and it needs to be on DVD. No one is streaming this either. what a bummer. 🙁
I think you nailed it, even I have given up, no choices here that seem viable anymore.
TAX RICH PEOPLE.
That's viable.

I agree. So how do we fix it

yep, they talk the talk and none of them walk the walk. I am sick of their saying they are working on it and you don't see any changes.

We are in desperate need of analysis from more Black, Brown, and other minoritized voices. Too few shown here.

Why no Latino voices? As always we are ignored, dissed, and dismissed.
If the Republicans pull off Project 2025 you'll be deported citizen or not.
And Native American voices are never included.
