Great video, nice shots.
I checked your tracker and noticed that you reached the Bay of Biscay. Are you worried about the orca attacks happening in coast of spain and portugal? Although I might have heard that they move away from that area in winter.
Du brauchst unbedingt 1 Reff mehr im Groß. LG aus Wolfsberg ( Kärnten)
Habe ein 3. Reff machen lassen. Original (wobei das Rig von 2010 ist) hatte Wolf nur 2 Reffs. Hatten schon Situationen, wo ein 3. definitiv brauchbar gewesen währe. Lg nach Kärnten :)

Amazing video! My questions though are your decisions regarding voyage planning. Going out of IJmuiden you could have known the weather. Same for dem helder. Don’t leave when the tide is against you. Good lessons to learn but make sure you are prepared for the ocean voyage where mistakes are much more costly.
Nice vid Jakob … good to see you and your old man as we say here in the Uk …having a fun time together before you set of on your circumnavigation… Sorry to hear about the collision with the Buoy of the coast of France..best to get it out of the way on the beginning of your adventure …like I said …the main thing is your still here to tell the story …hope the repairs are going well and eventually you can continue what you have planned … take care my dear friend and stay safe and continue to make wise decisions …🫡
I just noticed that the subtitles on some parts didn't export. I added them afterward and they should appear automatically. If not, turn on the subtitles.
When was this.? You went out against 30 to 40 knots leaving Ijmuiden? Thats not ok... Are you an experienced sailor?
About half the wind was forecasted by several weather models
@@jakoblangsailing Most of the windforcasts don't mention that at sea you sometimes can add 1 bft. cause due to atmosferic pressure that at sea is higher than on land! So i allways add 1 bft when they say 5, its mostly 6! But i like your video and vlog cause i also saw my Yacht :)
Video well done, but please use external microphone to do something with the sound of the wind
I did, but it was too strong anyways. Included some subtitles but they didn't export with the video. Just noticed that and added some now
dutch flag is upside down my friend, red on top...
When is this recorded? It's freezing now here in Amsterdam. Nice to have seen our boat on your video, near the _"orange sluis"_ ... So cool to see and enjoy your _"Rondje Noord Holland"_ as we call this route in the Netherlands... Keep them coming, I just subscribed ❣️
Thank you so much! And sorry that I didn't pronounced Ijmuiden right ;) Learnt that afterwards
Really looking forward to the journey ahead & hope your channel will blow up along the way. It has all the potential for it. Fair winds Jakob!
Thank you mate!
I love what you are doing my friend. I am double your age and half your skill level but following the same dream. Inspiring at such a young age canus lupus.
@@Sailingfalco join us and never stop dreaming!
The ‘waste’ foam ‘dumped by a cargo ship’ is a natural phenomenon. It is dead algea, which has been stirred to a foam by the wind. Phaeocystis Globosa. It is not polution, but can be dangerous for surfers. Some years ago 5 surfers got lost in the foam and the coast guard couldn’t find them. Sadly they drowned.
Good job, Jakob, cool and professional at the same time 👍 I will be following you on the trip, 100%..!
Thank you so much :)
Toll. Weiter so! Was ist Wolf für ein Schiff?
Danke dir! Wolf ist eine Dehler Optima 93 von 1976. Mit viel Arbeit darin
Great video and nice story telling!
Thanks!
What a fantastic video. The Netherlands are beautiful. i wish you all the best for the next leg of your journey. Really enjoyed this. Thank you. Keep well and safe. James.
Great to hear you liked it
Goodluck out there mate 👊🏻
Hi Jakob great footage combined with beautiful background music. Any chance you could share the playlist?
Hallo Jacob. Schön wieder etwas von dir zu sehen. Du machst das wirklich sehr gut. Respekt. Grüße aus Berlin
Danke dir ☺
Nice video. Love the footage! Fair winds.
Thank you very much
8:29 the canals of Amsterdam where built in the 7th century?? Almost, you are only off by a thousand years, but who is counting. but it is much more worrying that you let yourself be surprised by the weather on the North Sea. Skipper; there is no reason why that should have happened to you! Especially as a solo sailor you should not let yourself be surprised by the weather. especially not when you have up-to-date weather reports available
I meant 17th century, but pronounced that badly ;) The only way removing the risk of getting hit by a local weather front is not leaving port at all. You can't really avoid those. But yeah, we reacted too late and had too much sail up when it hit us. The night after Ijmuiden about half of the wind was forecasted by several weather models
Good luck on your trip. So are you planning to update microphones? Wind is a problem and there are better ways. No worries be safe.
Thanks mate! Included subtitles but unfortunately they somehow didn't export with the video. Just noticed that and added some afterward :)
@@jakoblangsailing Wifi headset microphone whenon deck of clip on microphone for better audio needed beforen you leave.
Succes man! Ik ben zelf me huis in lelystad verkoop klaar maken endan wil ik ook met een catamaran op pad 👌🏽
Great video Jakob but you gotta sort that audio! Statistics show that humans can handle lower picture quality but not lower audio. Good luck with your adventures!
Thanks mate! Wind was too strong for pretty much any mic. Included subtitles but just noticed that they didn't export with the video. Added some now :)
A really cool törn 😀 The archiv footage shows what monsters humans are😢 A really good video 👍 Stay tuned
class video once again
Thanks :)
Jakob, versuch es in Deiner Muttersprache, das ist viel authentischer. Du machst das toll.
Danke dir, nur sind aktuell ca. 35% der Zuschauer Deutsch ;)
Hi Jakob when are you leaving to sail around the world young sir
Already underway and currently in France. Just way behind on the videos ;)
@jakoblangsailing safe winds jakob I'm enjoying following you
Great content Jakob. Will be following along.
Thanks dude 🙌
liked and subscirbed, i cant wait to see your adventure
All the best to you man! Wish you good wind! Cool sunglasses 😎
Im lost for words, with your plans but i wish you all the best and a safe voyage and look forward to seeing your future videos
How long is your boat she's a beauty
Why don't you pronounce the Dutch places in Dutch? It is like me torturing Szczecin. When you live there, you will shout Bozje moj, or something like it.
Are you aware that there USED TO BE a boat repair workshop, a wharf, called Wolf, after the owner? In the Netherlands? Why do you call a ship after an animal that has four legs? Dog would make more sense. Or seal. The Dutch word for applying kit is kitten.
Looking forward to following your trip!
Great video! Just one thing. The Dutch flag has the red above. If you hang it the other way around, you're making a point in favor of the farmers' rights :-) Enjoy your trip.
Great project, Jacob! I'll be following your progress along the way. I wish you the best from The Netherlands.
Nice good luck
