I love guard counters. With some weapons the guard boost and damage reduction is so high you can get by famously just using the weapon to block. For everything else there's the brass shield or a greatshield. Great epee and great mace are my favorites for use with a shield.

How the hell did you survive its insta kill grab? I had level 14 blessing which is stronger than the area and and made sure I had no scorpion talismans equipped and he still 1 taps me at 60 vigor.

This weapon is also perfect for dragon cult incantations as you can attune it for bleed while it retains some faith scaling, which aligns perfectly for the incants. Lovely.
