you don't know how much I needed this video

I am finding this v helpful, Phil - just a slight semi tone error in the diagram at 7:57 - bass note at G#, I think and all the others a semi tone up??

Hi Phil I love the channel, and I love what you do and how you do it. But I have a question regarding Romeo and Juliet, and this is gonna sound like a bit of a Morecambe and Wise sketch but my question is this. I have looked at possibly every open G Chord Book going and I cannot find basically any of the chords, that are used in Romeo and Juliet, take the first called for instance F. Now I know what you are playing is correct, but as I say I can't find these cords basically in a chord book. What am I missing here? I have a national 1934 and I'd like to play other things on it apart from Romeo and Juliet. Can you help? Is there a secret book, can you tell me where I can find it? By the way I'm Rachael's dad, so if you email her back it will get to me, sorry I'm not too sure how this works either, I couldn't find an email address for you, the joys of being the wrong side of 60. thanks Phil for posting .First time on your channel, and also you saved me with the version on acoustic guitar because I only have an acoustic and at first I was try to play along with you with your electric guitar and was a bit hard but on the acoustic version it's easier ..for me. I already enjoying playing the reef I need to practice and eventually learn the song . God bless ....Danilo

Best lesson I've ever seen on youtube. I've always loved this song and I've always played the lead guitar, not just because I like it but cause the rhythm guitar is very difficult and I couldn't understand what D. Knopfler was playing. Now I can add the rhythm guitar, thanks!

Good to see you again Phil. I've just discovered "the notting hillbillies", which was a band that had the priviliege to have MK in it. I don't know the others memebers of the band, but they were great. The main singer had a really good voice, just very similar to Sinatra's voice. Did you know them? I believe that Paul Franklin plays the pedal steel guitar by the way.

Got it. I was playing bass and high cords at same time...but high cord anticipates. It´s strange in the beginning but is the exactly wave that makes this song great!

I’m having a lot of difficulty seeing which strings are being “choked” in the patterns you are demonstrating. Even slowing the video down to 0.75, 0.5, and 0.25 speeds, the video doesn’t make clear to me which strings you are fingering with your plucking hand. Are you “choking” the D string? The G string? A mix of both? Do you have a TAB version of this song? I would be happy to pay for it.
