@@tjtt222 Hello! The we have an install video for the Kicker Hideaway which is a little different than the mono amp and sub install. Check out our Hideaway install into a Gladiator which will be the same method of procedure for a Jeep JL (other than the mounting location of the Sub itself).

@@C_Wood This bundle includes the option to include 4” rear speakers, no rear speakers, 6.5” rear speakers in SSV pods, or 6.5” rear speakers with MTI pods.

@ are the pods going to require they’re own brackets or do they utilize the factory ones? I have a big bend bronco with the basic audio just so you know what I’m dealing with. Lol!

@ If you upgrade to the 6.5” rear pods, they will include everything required for the install. If you have a 2-door, the SSV pods come with a bracket which lowers the pod slightly, while the MTI pods fit directly into the existing spot without an additional bracket. The SSV pods are easier to install and come with the speaker mounted in the pod while the MTI pods are denser but slightly more difficult to mount and are not shipped with the speaker mounted. We do have an install video demonstrating the rear MTI pods install to follow along.

@@MM4X453 Sorry but no. The closest you’ll find to waterproof is weather resistant in the Alpine I509-WRA-JL or the Horizon 10. We carry and stock both but they’re not waterproof. Weather resistant at best is splash/ sprinkle proof.

@@ernestovaldez1281 If your goal is top off, doors off loud, your answer will be a full system upgrade with the speakers powered by an amplifier and a sub. Upgrading the speakers alone will yield crisper sounds, loud will come from power. The factory Alpine systems are tricky. We have seen in few cases where the factory amp creates power issues and degraded sound quality with speaker swaps. With those cases 9 out of 10 end up with a full system upgrade which includes our factory amp bypass. In summary, swapping speakers helps gain better sound quality, which can translate as louder, however to achieve “loud”, we’d recommend an amplifier package.

@@AdventuresInMyBronco Correct, you will not touch Forscan. When you’re installing an amp, the frequency source is now the amplifier, not the factory radio. Forscan is used for those that are swapping out the rear speakers but not installing an amp. In those cases, the frequency source is still radio.

@@scottbelliston6557 Which wire bundle are you referring to; for a factory amplified jeep or non factory amplified? If factory amplified, you would need our amp bypass harness which we do have available on the site.

@@ulwarriors Yes and no. If you install just a mono amp and sub, the factory amp and sub will remain operable. If you’re installing the full amp system, no. The new amp system bypasses the factory amp which abandons the factory sub. BUT, there is an option! You can either install our MBQ OEM replacement sub which will connect to the new amp and will take the place of the factory sub location, or if you want 2 subs, you can replace the OEM sub with our MBQ sub AND install a 2nd sub. If you’re wanting the 2 sub option, I’d recommend contacting us so we can prepare a different amp configuration to provide more power to handle the 2 sub solution.
