This video was excellent, right up until the point I discovered my new wheels don't have TPMS installed :-)
those are studs not bolts, wheel hub bolts are the thing that hold the hub to the knuckle
Thanks Chris! I appreciate the correction 🤓

Nice job.
Outstanding!! I bought the same TPMS tool and couldn't get it to work until I watched your video.. Oddly I did everything the same except waiting a minute after getting it in relearn mode. This time after your video I put it in relearn and as I was watching my clock the check engine light flashed a couple times right at the minute mark- Jumped out with the tool and Bam! Done! TPMS light out! My 2015 Frontier flashers go off at every sensor relearn. Thx a bunch!
bs
I'm curious you didn't mention a particular direction to orient the mounting plate on top. The center of rotation is not at the center of the four mounting studs, rotating that plate 90° the location of the top of the strut affecting caster and camber…. Where it was can be identified by that little black rubber tab pointing to the front driver side of the vehicle…When you buy the new struts they don't say anything about that either but turning that mounting plate 90° moves the location of the top of the strut…
This video solved my issue, thanks for posting this!
I don’t have that connector on my 2016 Nissan Altima.
Excellent video. Thank you. One question ... at the 10 minute mark, when you reattached the brake hose, it appears to squirt out brake fluid in an upward direction. What was that? Did the hose get nicked or sliced as you were reattaching it?
Good eye! But not brake fluid :) It was a piece of dirt or dust that flew by the lens. This was several years and no problems with the brake fluid leak
Thank you, that was short and to the point. Great information and job!
I can't get the cover off that's covering the throttle body 😭😭😭I unscrewed the two bolts and unattached the two hoses on the left and right as well as the big hose... the thing seems to be glued on. :(
Hi, at 3:09 you can see that there are 4 bolts. After you remove those, if necessary, carefully hit the throttle body with the plastic end of a screwdriver to loosen.
@@JohnS_Unruh thank you! That's exactly what I did I had to nudge the throttle body a bit, there was gunk plastered on the hose glueing it on basically 😂😅
What you modestly call OCD, I call a professional attitude. Nice work.
Excellent video,.. clear and to the point,.. I have been in the industry for 35 , almost 40 years, and you should do this as a career,.. I'm not clown'n . You are very good at this type of information. If it was your passion, you would be the best,.. Great job !
Thank you for sharing! You are super awesome!
Hey thank you very much your information was perfect my car now runs good thanks to you
Ear Protection. 😂😂😂
Hey but how did you clean the throttle body?
Brake and parts cleaner and a nylon brush
you boy or girl?
This video help me 6 years ago on my pathfinder 12’ now I’m watching it again because I’m getting new wheels 🛞 Thanks a lot again 👍🏻
Just an update: YOUR method and YOUR suggested $8 tool worked. When everything and hours and hours attempted and failed to complete learn mode. So thank you!
Stoked to hear that!
I'm gonna try this. Got a used 08 Altima (SL that's in like, PERFECT condition....so that's cool) but i had to fix a few things. New VC gasket. No biggie. Still got a tiny tiny oil leak but she is built like a Nissan. Perfect. I have spent the last 4 hours doing everything i could with the TPMS in learn mode. Clearing the ecu's cmos/BIOS(aka disconnect battery for 5 minutes). I've learned that the stock 215/60/16s are HIGHLY affected by heat. Did the driver fr 34psi, Pass Fr 31psi, Pass rr 29psi, and Driver Rear 26psi several times in learn mode. Clocked over 10 minutes of driving over 50mph, then tried driving around 40mph for 10 mins, then tried different pressure differentials but in sequence...............No luck. Won't get oiut of learn mode. Keeps flashing. I think you have the best video yet. It's 10 bucks and not only will it program the TPMS's, it will almost assuredly check the status of each one! I have seen zero info on how to troubleshoot each RF xmitter. The OBD2 tools i have a pretty beefy but nothing will get into the module for TPMS on this nissan. (more futsing around on that) Just thank you. I'll write back and clean up this meandering post with results tomorrow!
Great video, clear explanation helped out a lot. Thank you
Cleaning the mass airflow sensor resolved my problem as well.
This works on a 2004 Murano. Thanks.
this is a very good piece of gear. The best part is that you can put it on without having to pull it over the boots!
How much does this typically cost?
Thank you so much for the guide! This fixed my issue :)
thanks in advance. I got the same problem, already clean IAC valve and MAF sensor, but still throttle like sh!"#$%$, so i´ll try this one. Thanks for the information. cheers
Good luck!
I have a question. I got that code and found this video and am now going to do all that but would any of that make the vehicle overheat?
Possibly, depending on how dirty, it could be causing it to run lean which could overheat your motor.
@@iproject1850 no it said running to low but I saw that my car wasn’t liking the coolant cause it dumped it all out. So I put dye in it to find that out. New battery and just sprayed off all parts associated with throttle body and idle. Also air intake so we shall see in a few what happens. Either be good or I’ll see the dye and find out where coolant is leaking from
@@iproject1850 plus I’m in Vegas and the either extreme heat or extreme cold really doesn’t help with the back and forth on battery and engine. But thank you on video. It helped immensely with my knowledge of how it works and where everything is at
Good video, Informative without being overly technical. I just started looking into the Idle relearn procedure today. I disconnected the battery to do a pre-winter cleaning of the posts and cables and ended up with idle issues. Thanks for the info.
Great video! Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Very informative I’m a female mechanic for 35 years. I enjoy seeing young women turning wrenches. Did not have many in my day.
Worked like a charm, thanks. Went they so much with this system and all it took was 2 minutes and a $16 took. Crazy 😜
Good work lady!! cheers
Thanks, many of the other videos don't tell you the tire sequence, or if you needed to go through the grounding process for each tire. Bought the tool & it worked for me :)
Glad it helped
All this to reset tire pressure wtf
Ty
The damn Kia dealer wanted to charge me 1031 dollars for this job. WOW. You gave me the confidence to do this job.
well I replaced the struts still getting a grinding/crushing noise when going over certain bumps and while exaggerated left to right at slow speeds thinking sway bar links and bushings.
What was the symptoms that led to replacement?? My grandma's van is bit loud going over humps. Also making a crunch noise. We have eliminated balls joints, tie rod ends, brakes, wheel bearings. Other then this crunch noise and being loud over bumps (possibly excessive travel) I was leaning front struts.
This is literally the best parts washer mod video on YT. Thanks for taking the time to show all the part numbers and talk about them in detail. Excellent video!
Thanks, Great help, just made mine from StormFit...a litle heavier at 3.5oz but happy with it... I used a shorty bungee because I forgot and had to change sides on two velcros... Anyways... much appreciated! Happy Trails!
Nice job ,, thanks
Worked just as you showed on my 2007 Frontier
I got my replacement struts with no springs, I unloaded springs off old struts and reloaded them into new ones. This is a very handy video. She does the job correctly and safely. If you have to mess with springs then please be careful. Most machine shops still do it for 20-30$ each maybe?? They have jigs to make it not so dangerous. I couldn't find anyone in my immediate area that would. I borrowed spring tool from auto parts store and they have to be positioned just right so they don't slip. A vice grip works great. (Super important)! I didn't have air so I 1/2" drive ratcheted the dang thing down. Wore me out! I recommend a 1/2" impact. When tension is relieved remove nut and cap, rubber and very carefully, with entire unit facing away from anyone or anything, remove spring holding by the tool and reverse process onto new strut. Make sure rubber and cap fit flush onto spring end. ( In case you turn around the end with coil almost touching coil below it goes up. Coil with considerable gap between next coil goes down. Make sure you have nut torqued all the way home. Then very carefully relieved pressure on spring tool. Not meaning to hijack site I took considerable risk doing springs with no instructions or watching a knowledgeable person like this young lady' video. Be safe.
Where did you find the whole strut assembly? Can’t find it anywhere
Can’t find for my 2016
Rock auto .com
I can’t find it for a 2016. Even on rockauto
Well it’s out of stock there anyway
@@MisoJuice same, 2016 Sedona LX cant find the front ones.
did work for me on NIssan rogue 2008. This tool is advertised as universal.... but we have no way of knowing if its working or not... I got my tool and put the car in relearn mode ( tap the the wire to OBDII plate to earth it and the tpms light will start blinking...) during the relearn mode... I went to my left front tire and activated the light... nothing happens for 2 whole minutes... so I thought the battery is dead in this one... on to the next one...same... no response...if only this tool had a display to show live data to the user... there is no way to tell if its working or not...the product maybe great but the implementation is bad.
Great video with some good idiot proofing :).
I have a complete coil. Do I have to still add that grease to the plug end?
It would be helpful. It just helps to increase electrical connectivity/conduction
@@iproject1850 ok thank you!!
