Very nice. What's the cruise speed 75% power? Definitely a workhorse but dang I can see the fuel burn from here. Lol. It's just absurd we've gotten to the point in aviation where an engine cost twice as much as the plane.
This airline cruises about 140mph at 75% with the larger engines and a less draggy configuration, we typically see 155ish out of a stock airplane. Engines have always been about 80% of the cost of the airframe that is holding true still. Aviation is not immune, everything went up 40% in the last few years, just like everything else.
Great numbers! you are just confirming the Bearhawk as the best all round aircraft - speed/STOL/quality of materials/ease of flying

I didn’t realize a five could take a < 300hp engine. Hoping to place an order in about a year . Need to renovate the shop first
We can run the 260hp 540 from the four, IO-540D4A5. It is lighter and still provides a good performing airplane.

Are you offering cabane V suspension on all the kits?
Cabane v suspension is available for all models through our partner TK1 suspension.

Not a very accurate video. You rely on too much rumor and need to to your research in greater detail. Further. I’d hardly call half of those large aircraft. You have two completely different classes of aircraft and lumping them all into one. A tip, KNOTS are the speed to use for airplanes

nice video thanks for the breakdown ! my dad has built a couple of the scratch build 4 place, i am really wanting to build one now as well. your picture and description of africa flying brings back memories of flying around north sudan etc. have you been stuck in a haboob yet ? you did miss the best stol airplane however the DHC-7 hahah we used to go into some really small strips with those at flap 45 you just kind of hang by the harness.

Should call the bear hawk the muskrat when it has floats. It reminds me of the mighty dehaviland beaver. It looks like a little beaver. The muskrat would be a great name if it has floats on it.

Yes good instructions go a long ways and the goal is to have very concise instructions that help keep you he builder on task rather than getting lost in the weeds.

This is uncanny . Was also flying my Maule, VFR on top , a few months ago- eating a PB &J But for some reason i forgot to move the mic on the headset, and got a big glob of peanut butter on the mic fabric . Anyhow, awesome plane , youve checked all the boxes - probably the most versatile build ive seen . Cool to see that youre taking the bearhawk brand forward - reminds me of the guys who bought helio recently
There should be laws against making a landing look so effortless.

Hey Virgil, Great video. I’m about to put the stolspeed VG’s on my Skyranger and your testing gave me a good framework to follow. Also, you ministry content offer would be awesome. I’d love to see it. Wondering if you bought Jim Hocking’s business. I was on a board for the development of a clinic in western Kenya and had several discussions with Jim about getting clean water to the people in Busia western Kenya.
