    The 17mm being brighter than the 12mm at a given aperture is interesting. That is known as the T-stop, right? The difference is quite noticeable, even though they both have 15 elements. I am looking for a prime for photographing in low light conditions, so to see the 17mm's light gathering capability demonstrated so clearly is very useful.

    • @thatweirdfilmmaker4521
      @thatweirdfilmmaker4521 Месяц назад

      Indeed, the actual light measured would be the T-Stop. If low lighting is your primary focus , then the 17mm pro definitely is the way to go. Interestingly, the 17mm and 45mm of the f1.2 pro line let's in a tad more might too than the 25mm. Alternatively, you could also go the voightlander route at f.95, but it's all manual focus.

      I appreciate your taste ,Sir. As for Frost's reviews, he tends to be more of a Sigma over Zeiss gentleman. So focus is less about skin tones and more about paper charts. 2D monochromatic surfaces is were Sigma has its finest hour.

    my copy of the silver Exakta adapter does fit securely, i think the two mount points are for allowing the aperture arm to not get in the way on dSRL's (canon mirror box) but will mount upside down. also, the adaptor is so thick that seems to not allow infinity focus on EF. goes to about 10ft.ordering the black one
