Budget Fimmaking episode. What is the best Vintage 35mm Lens? Are you broke but want cinematic footage? Are you an embarrassment to your family? Are you only able to talk to a lady when you give out your credit card number?
Well, this video can only help you with the first question, and maybe the second one if you are not a talentless hack. However, who is going to know if you are or not? Nobody! I certainly won't care what randos do in their private life with their footage. Probably a story about teenage relationships. How banal and predictable. That is the reason why your parents tell their friends you went into the military on a secret mission for the next 50 years.

1:46 even if the Flektagon has a long focus throw, most of that throw is closer than 1m. From infinity to 1m the throw is tiny tiny tiny, something like 25 degrees! For video, if filming anything but closeups, I find that the focus throw is not very accommodating at all, unfortunately. I really wish it had some more throw between infinity and 1m.

Thanks to your review I was made aware if the Steinheil. With a little luck I was able to get a Steinheil Quinon 55mm 1.9 in chrom. It is a beautiful lens. It has all the features of a West-German luxury automobile: made to last, enough horsepower to shame any Zeiss and it is the smoothest ride with a manual focus ring.

You have excellent taste.
I don't own any contax lenses, however the Zeiss 28mm and 50mm I reviewed have the same optical formula as the contax version, other than slightly different coating.
