Sbolt sims slightly higher, most people run sbolt at this point including myself. It's a little more fun too with the procs baked in. Dots take in SP/haste they don't really snapshot crit like they used to. I would put up inital dots with procs, but I wouldn't overwrite a current agony/corr before it runs out with more procs, but doom is very worth it since it lasts so long. Merfin has a good SP doom snapshotter. TLDR no to refreshing besides doom. Dots do not scale dynamically, but in the case of immolate when it gets refreshed by hand of guldan the new immolate will take your current SP. Hope that helps.

Its satisfactory once you can get your ducks in a row and figure out where your fingers are supposed to move on the opener, the maintenance is the easy part in my opinion. You'll continue to pick it up quick

I just use my demo gear for my affliction set when I swap specs, not like I have time to hearth out and reforge and there is surely not enough loot for a second set of gear. It's unfortunate, but we do what we must.

On pull I soul swap to apply everything quickly (with agony), once the agony ticks out I put doom up. When the dragon goes in the air I soul swap when it flys by. Usually 2-3 times max on that fight. Otherwise you can maintain dots the entire time comfortably.

I'm not expecting you find a secret tech that brings it to the forefront, but even the lil things can spark something in me and that leads to me and i'm sure others getting better. all though I wish you could go straight up haste/mastery with destro like you do in retail, but you can only really do that in retail, because Destro's mastery works as a form of crit. I also love destroy because of shadowfury. it makes controlling adds so much easier I find for tanks, when I can go into a pull stun them it gives really any tank i'm with a second to establish threat, instead of hoping they get them all.

@@talisredstar1543 Shadowfury is badass, I've been watching other warlocks play destro and I think its really interesting, once i finish leveling this 2nd warlock up I will make it demo/destro and try it out in all manner of fights. Then maybe put something together for a video.

@@ItsPummel Sounds good. My problem so far is getting insta soulfire procs. I'm guess cause our stats are so low right now. Solo you can even call them han! lol but on long fights I run out of shards and/or have to hard cast Soulfire way too much for my liking.

the 4 piece is around ~250-300 dps if you use it right, I'm going to use it and once the guild doesn't need the pieces anymore I'll try to break it

@@ItsPummel Thank you for replying so fast. So basically wowsims will tell you if 4 set normal pieces in better than 2set with hc off pieces in most scenarios? Trying to find a guideline somewhere to be able to maximize usage of the gear I have in my bags.

@@quikzlounge Yeah wowsims will tell you which is better in most scenarios. I swapped to using the tier set gloves because of the heavy mastery making it better to swap without incurring the glove icd, with the sinestra helm.

@@JohannesWOW Didn’t hand of guldan because I was monologuing about doom and wasn’t paying attention (can’t talk and play apparently) Int are the trinkets that matter for snapping Doomguard/abilities, haste trinkets might not bring you to certain breakpoints and immolate refreshes with hand Incinerate filler is simpler and shadowbolt spec adds nightfall procs that’s about it. Shadowbolt spec sims (last time I checked) about 50 dps more than incinerate. Didn’t think it was worth an explanation because it a rounding error when we sim 30k+ damage, play how you want is my mantra. Hope this helps

@@imbacookiemonster, cata parses are done differently so heroic is it’s own, normal it’s own. Then 10/25. Depending on the mode will determine how difficult it is to parse in it. Raid dps is big as well a good raid dps can push your purples to oranges will kill time, also kill strategy like maloriak skipping green phase will always net a lower parse (as of right now)

Recently been watching/reading more about destro, once I finish the aff guide I'll make a destro one as well. Out of the country for a few weeks though.

on ~3 I usually put immolate on all the mobs + corr + agony if it can tick the entire duration. Single target into one, 4+ just hellfire, shadowflame, felstorm.

Molten core talent is worth in the sbolt spec because it is extra damage compared to the aura and fel synergy.

The planetary band doesn't have an enchant cause its a random roll suffix, with gems + reforging itll be beyond the hit cap

I don't have another item set, would trade the mastery suffixes for ones with haste that's about it, a lot of the gear there's not many piece that can be played with. Maybe sinestra helm + cho bracers and not do 4 piece.

5% is a lot, I don't know how much full 372 mastery set vs P1 bis gives you but if you can get 5% dam on pull with a button for 30s it seems worthwhile

Maybe they'd change meta to dynamically update with mastery, but I doubt it. Agree with your take.

It depends if you like the instant cast global. I have seen sets with sinestra helm + chogall gloves. I found I use the 4pc when it procs it hits as hard as a shadowbolt but is instant.
