another thing that will boost your parses as affliction is trying to get the raid to BL/Hero at 25-35%, use infernal before that, wild magic potion, refresh corruption at 35% into bl/hero and execute. Crit/crit buffs and Tricks of the trade does snap shot into the corruption, you can equip a crit weapon with crit gems and change back

One thing I can add due to we have some Iframes with demonic circle you can use it around 0.3 seconds on the flame jets cast and avoid going up all together
Curious about the IC fight. I simply do not care about the other 2 because any damage done to them before "it's their turn to die" does not count. What I do is when the first rune come I pop Doom on the runeguy, because when tinydude dies it's all from 20-30 seconds left which is more worth than agony at that point. Also do the same to Steelbreaker when There is sub 1 min until runeguy dies. Remember that everytime you have to cast sb/ds/dl/haunt to refresh corruption on targets that arent going to die, you lose lots of dps on the target that actually counts your damage. When rune dude dies, pop infernal and go absolutely nuts :)
When youre multi dotting in prog always put corruption on as much as possible because siphon life is insane and if you have 3+ corruptions up you will never die to non one shot mechanics. Also for prog you should be using drain life when youre low, especially on things that stress your healers out a lot like tantrum. If you ever die to not getting healed as aff youre playing bad. better to be alive draining than dead shadow bolting. For Freya parse your guild has to keep triple adds close to each other so you can seed. Seed is actually insane if people are close together because it kills trees and roots passively while cleaving the triple adds/lashers/etc. Keep corruption up on the other two adds for haste procs. For demo its getting in maximum amount of immo aura on adds and seeding. If your guild kites the lasher too far or tells you not to seed you will never parse. Also for mim you can put up dots on all three except corruption on mid and use seed as filler between dot refreshes. There is no tension between multidotting and seeding except that one corruption on mid. You can keep ua/coa on a target that youre seeding.
Kologarn affliction best is keeping up all dots but mainly keeping up wild magic snapshooted corruption on both arms and body for the whole fight by bouncing shadow bolts.
About the Thorim fight, it's about when you send your pet in to attack him. If you send him at Thorim while he is still on the balcony, your pet won't follow you and gets stuck up there. You have to wait for Thorim to jump down befor doing /petattack after you yourself have jumped down.
I've had my pet get stuck many times and I've never sent my pet in. I used to think it was the fact I would tp to my demonic circle while mid air jumping down but even when I stopped doing it, pet would still get stuck. I have learned tho that you can cast Eye of Kil and cancel instantly to get your pet back.
When would be the best time to pop Meta on Hodir? After singed stacks? When you get a moonbeam? Only after getting Storm Cloud? Whenever Lust happens instead of waiting for anything else?
Ideally after singed stacks, hopefully theres is a beam nearby, but its not a dealbreaker, hopefully you have stormcloud, then pop with lust. 25 singed + lust = meta. Then hunt for a cloud if you dont have it already.

If you pull back your pet and move to the half of XT where the melee are you can have it stack with them. Otherwise you are at the mercy of searing lights + sparks. Also do not send your pet to attack sparks directly, keep it on XT.
do it! im playing destro in our raid and its not nearly as bad as people talk about. yes, affliction has more potential in peak at some fights, but a good destro still outnumbers average affliction warlocks.
I love ur Vids man always so much to learn. Got a couple of questions tho. First how come u dont play Demo dps anymore? 2nd is do you have any Tips on how to parse better as Destro on Freya? Been doing the Shadowfury for my Raid on this fight and have been Struggeling to Parse on her. Usually I just try to DPS the Big one with CDS and the 3 Adds I Do Immolate all 3 into Seeds and then Singletarget down the lasher once they are all kinda low. The Small ones it is also just Seeding and then Shadowfury into Portal into more seeds but somehow I always have a bad parse on the fight. other Fights are all around 80-99 Logs. We cut a raid in Fusion and I like how complex Affliction can be. I still play demo in 10 and 25ms. For Freya it is all about cheesing the aoe (even as destro). Its hard when you are swapping to trees/roots like a good raider to parse well on that fight. Lashers - seed/shadowfury, as destro for the triple pack - pump conflag/chaosbolt/immo into snaplasher + seed. Big tree just have good mushroom uptime. Crixx will be coming back once he returns. There is a spot kept for him. Hope this helps!
Do you believe Blizzard should remove snapshotting corruption on %dmg and crit? Like they removed snapshotting haste on gargoyle Affliction would still pump high
I think that corruption is in a fine place and I would look at something else. Snapshotting is a uniquely wrath concept and removing it would be a crime. Maybe nerf infernal damage or something.
Couple questions as AFF: Hodir you would wild magic during lust/ storm buff etc correct while cranking SB? On thorium / razorscale you can't preppy before you jump down / razor comes down correct?
Re Ignis: Am I wasting time / GCDs putting Corruption up on adds trying to trigger MC? Am I further wasting GCDs triggering Decimate off adds as they drop below 35%? Should I just be focusing boss?
You can put up 1 corruption for eradication, but ignis is such a quick fight it depends on your groups kill times to answer that question (especially because add dmg does not count)
you forgot the most important thing on ignis. throw curruption on the adds. its not going to count towards parse but you will get tons of SB procs. well worth it to have a handful rolling
I purposefully left that out because the fight is so short I find the globals wasteful, but I see the case with good eradication rng how it can be very positive

Good video aside from Vezax which you are completely wrong on. The reason those warlocks are able to parse so high isn't because they are drain souling throughout the fight. It's because: 1) their tanks know how to build good threat allowing them to do more dps and not wait for threat 2) they get the boss below 5% before waiting for animus, this pauses the timer and so your dps does not fall from this point 3) they cheese the fight a bit, purposely spreading mark of the faceless to heal the boss so they can rip more drain souls without the boss dying before animus spawns 4) once they are oom they get DI'd allowing them to tap to full mana
You are not wrong and I saw this DI mana cheese after I recorded the video. Regardless of the cheese you still need to manage your mana in order to burn the animus and finish off the boss. I really really dislike the meta around vezax and hope WCL can try to put a limit on how much vez heals or something.
Yeah that is a good way of putting it. A numerical way to determine how much damage you are doing compared to others on specific fights, overall damage, or just encounters damage.
In other words: How much of the perfect solution of the instance made over 15 years are you able to remember? How much time did you waste on perfecting strategies you wouldn't need, because a bunch of gorillas could clear the raid?
Just a couple questions: on XT do you use corruption or UA first on the sparks? And on Mim p3 do you tab corruption first, then shadowbolt, then reapply full DoTs; or do you just tab bolt first then get up your dots?
Xt I UA then corruption, then go back to single target on XT. For mim I like to make sure the crit debuff is up before I multi-dot everything since I am certain people are not thinking about that.
Did they change something about the Mimiron phase 3? I saw the warning about melee not being able to hit and was originally sending my felguard elsewhere, but he hits the boss fine now. Not sure if it's something that changed, or if it was a misconception from the start.
Not off the top of my head, I play frost dk in gdkp and if people wnt something similar on what to look for when parsing I can make something. Have a few other video ideas in the pipeline first.
The guide goes like this. Do normal mode. 80 parse. Get guild for hardmode 99+ parse. Ok good luck bois with the purple parses. Yes im also there xD warcraftlogs.... shape the f up.
Love how people watch these guides. Not because you would need a single guide in Ulduar, but because they want to finally say: "After 15 years of practice I can finally click my very limited number of spells in the perfect order. Now people will respect me."
I think a lot of people that are playing the game just want to be able to clear efficiently with their friends and if they can take a step towards clearing an encounter cleaner they will watch a video to help do so. The more important outlier isn't the amount of spells its the order and timing you're pressing them.

Yeah you can use wild magic when you got stormcloud thats really good to get that extra crit in. You cannot preppy those two bosses.

My mimiron parses are dreadful. When you say multi dot all three, are you doing UA/corr and coa?
I would multi-dot all three, it takes a bit more micromanagement, but its more damage.

Haven't had any issues with that, I just send in the felguard the hit the body and usually it is fine.

I think a lot of people that are playing the game just want to be able to clear efficiently with their friends and if they can take a step towards clearing an encounter cleaner they will watch a video to help do so. The more important outlier isn't the amount of spells its the order and timing you're pressing them.
