Glyph of Salv makes it to where casting it on yourself gives you a 20% Damage Reduction for the duration. Algalon hits so hard and there is so much damage going out, you want to have as many options as you can. Threat also shouldnt be an issue if your tank is playing well, or gets help on pull from tricks/Misdirection.
Divine Sacrifice only affects party members, not the whole raid. is that good enough? it doesn't seem like 5/25 members is good enough, even though it is an obvious time to use it.
@@skoverton5553 Did both myself. It took us longer to get Yogg 0 down. It also isn't just an extra mount, it is also progression position on the server. Which makes it easier to recruit when you have the full raid cleared. We gained a whole 3rd raid a week after getting 3rd alg/yogg 0 on server.
agreed, hunters lose the mana regen from having no JoW on their target, running the risk of going OOM, and need both physical and magical debuffs on their target to deal full damage.
spriest is very nice for this role since their damage is not very spiky so you get consistent explosion timers, compared to say a balance druid who could hit a starfire for 7k or crit for 14k with no control over that.
Spriest is a little lacking because the stars only have 200k health and there's a long ramp-up for dots - nevermind the fact the stars will be constantly dying on their own. Devouring plague can only affect one target at a time. Shadow word: pain doesn't benefit from haste - our most valuable secondary stat - and is a huge mana sink on anything that won't live for its duration. That and the single target rotation, which you're using on the boss, requires a lot of micromanagement which can easily fall apart with too much swapping. Mind flay is the ultimate filler ability and you lose precious dps on the boss if you aren't maximizing your channels between mind blast and reapplying VT/DP.
Watching this and thinking about my own guild that cant follow simple instructions like "free the NPC from flash freeze" on Hodir Normal mode. Makes me question if my sanity will be intact after Wrath is done.

Is it different in 10-man? Because I have seen a new set of stars spawn with stars alive from the previous set.
In 10 man at least the stars just spawn on a timer and will always spawn up to 4 i.e. if there is still 1 up then 3 new ones will spawn

the 30% dmg transfer to you is to party members, the 20% reduced dmg taken is to the whole raid.

Yogg 0 drops nothing extra besides a mount so people aren’t pulling it as much as well though
