And it does mess with my mind. The nightmares of my coma were vivid and strong and realistic. They involved real pain, they involved strong emotions, and they even involved real moments with real people and real dialogue. This life I have now is so beautiful, so blessed, so cherished, so meaningful, it often feels to good to be true. I heard this new song written by Brandon Lake, “Miracle Child,” and felt like I could identify with a lot of it (despite not being born a “miracle child” like he was). There are certain Bible verses, certain lines, and certain prayers that I will just never hear the same again. I am so thankful that I have followed the Good Shepherd through the valley!

Forgot to post this video last year. I wrote and recorded this song the week after hurricane Ian and its devastating effects on our community. Port Charlotte was hit pretty bad. We've been resilient, we've overcome a lot, and I'm proud of our community, but many still have a long way to go. IDES has been incredible at helping Port Charlotte and have continued to do great things with New Day.
