I recently got my gloriosum on clearance. She had one stem and a leaf that was mostly gone, and what was there was crispy. I only knew what she was because of the tag. But thanks to your info, I now know that she is a regular gloriosum! Thank you for the info!

depending on how fragile or sensitive a plants roots are I will remove or leave on soil, Ive pretty much left all of the soil around the roots when Ive transfered a philodendron from soil to pumice, key here is to then do it in a tall container, so that there's a lot of space from the roots with soil to the bottom with pumice. keep the waterline 2/3 below the soil and the water will travel trough the pumice to keep the soil moist enough. after time, the plant will grow roots further down which will be adjusted to water. also dont let your plant in pumice dry out, it will damage the water roots and risk root rot.

Hoya Davidcumingii is actually a parent to Hoya Noona. The parents are Davidcumingii and Heuschkeliana.

Those are both hoya noona's. I have them both and the david cummingi flowers are smaller they have the same size as hoya lacunosa and more in one cluster. Noona flowers are much bigger.

I just use ordinary LED lights from Ikea ( 6-15 w), which are not worse than the expensive grow lights. My 100+ hoyas thrive happily. So do not waste money.

I am new to lechuza pon and I have watched many of your videos. They provided me all the infos and my hoyas are thriving now. You deserve more followers!

6:40 a good way to think of how damp u want the sphag is like a wrung out sponge--it's still moist but not soggy and airy not compact. I even grow some full size plants (Rhaphidophora, Peperomia, Scindapsus) in sphag despite many people advising against this bc they say it retains too much water when u re-water the pot. The trick is instead of pouring water in or soaking/bottom watering, which would get the moss too saturated, I use a spray bottle, pump spray bottle, or squeeze condiment bottle like yours. I just spray/squirt a bit in the top. I let the water spread down on its own and it's basically just a matter of keeping the moss "topped off" so it always stays lightly damp. Since it wicks, you'll know within 15-30 min or less if u need to add more or not. For larger pots I might do a couple sprays/squeezes thru the bottom drainage holes, too. I keep several bottles around for easy access. Over time u kinda realize how much diff sized pots need & how often (for me I add a lil every 2-4 days for 3-6" pots). Keeping the moss ever in a damp but airy state has grown some fab root systems and foliage for me!

Yes some of the Hoyas made it to my whishlist >.< - Hoya carnosa ‚argentea‘ - Hoya sp. EPC-319 PG-04 - Hoya clemensiorum Say...is the Hoya 'nova ghost' and the Hoya carnosa 'grey ghost' in this video the same variety? Or is the nova ghost not a 'carnosa'?

So even if the substrate is airy, if the pot is too big it will rot! That is so helpful.
