I think it's difficult to say if pop culture is making people more sexual for a number of reasons. Pop culture isn't really as much as a thing now because of the increased access to so much media and culture/counter-culture because of the internet. 30-40 years ago people had to watch the same few channels or listen to the same few radio stations so there was a mainstream pop culture. Now you can access culture that is extremely pro-sex, extremely anti-sex, culture that exploits people's insecurity regarding their sex lives, etc. Also "more sexual" can mean having more libido, having a more positive attitude towards sex, and/or participating in sex acts that are "more" sexual. I think as sexual education improves and LGBTQ+ identities are normalised, people are becoming more knowledgeable about what they want, and for some that's polyamory, and for others that's asexuality. And movies/TV/social media will reflect both as people seek representation, but also there will also continue to be attention grabbing sexual content because the media thrives on attention. Also it's hard to determine if we're just as sexual as other humans were in the past, we just don't have as much historical records in comparison to the constant recording of the modern day. But we're not currently experiencing a Summer of Love like the 60s, or having bacchanal orgies like the ancient Romans, so maybe our sexuality is still on a similar level as humans have had throughout history.

Kids can’t even escape it nowadays as they have higher risks of coming across more adult content than we used to back in the days (and I say that as an early Gen Z 😬)
