I did grow up with the movie, but u can tell there have been many factors that some don’t like and some of the others do like. I still have the VHS tape and I plan on hopefully getting the dvd soon. But, overall the films so far have been on and off in my eyes. I will say could u maybe do Edward’s voices ranked or Toby’s voices ranked? I also love The Great Discovery :)

Man, i had mega blocks of Thomas & Friends!!!! 2 Trackmasters, Thomas Flashlight and some others that i don't remember now. But nowadays my reamining "Thomas toys" are a Hot Wheels based on Locomotorin and a 75th aniversary trackmaster thomas. These toys bring me nostalgiacore of TTTE

I think Michael Brandon heard Oliver be called the Western Engine (because that's the title of his book) and thought 'Wild West' instead of Great Western.

If there's one thing to think about "Calling All Engines!", it's that with this movie, it feels more like a TV-movie/extended episode than what it calls itself a "movie". The movie would be trimmed into a 45 minute extended episode (if you take out the learning segments) or a 30-31-ish minute episode (if you take out all of the songs from the main feature). Given that Seasons 8-11 used a camera that can go to 50FPS/60FPS (24fps if deinterlaced), it is quite TV-budget like compared to Seasons 1-7 or even Season 12 where the camera quality is 24fps.

American here, i've been a fan all my life and havn't heard of theatorical releases for thomas movies, so they most likley didn't drop any movies in theaters.

My personal favorites would be John Hassler and Martin Sherman. The former does a great job overall, and while the latter lacks energy I do like the deeper tone on him, kind of like a teenager or smth. Also he’s the one I heard the most.

I would not say it's dead, but it's never wil be that good, that it was, and it's because of Mattel. Today's kids barely know the reboot series too, they see the toys in the stores, but doesn't know who they are. I would say, the 70% of the fandom is older than 15 years old. I'm still like the first 7 seasons, various episodes from the HIT era, and the Brenner era was also good, but it isn't got me that feeling, that I felt watching the model era.

when i was a kid, i thought for a long time that new friends for thomas was a hit era release based on the fact spencer was on the cover for a couple of reasons: 1. because spencer was on the cover and i only knew spencer from the hit era. 2. because i never actually watched that release until i was 6 or 7. i saw the release for the first time in 2013 and when the classic intro played, i was confused because i thought "wait, a newer character from the later model series is on the cover. why is it classic?" then when i heard angelis' voice for the first time, i thought "why do we have the uk voice for this release?" growing up into adulthood made me realize that there was more going on behind the scenes with this one release 😅

As an American, Thomas and the Magic Railroad was the very first movie I ever saw in theaters when I was a wee lad back in 2000. Then I saw it in theaters again for its 20th anniversary via Fathom Events and I was literally the only person in the theater. It was worth it.

I definitely don't feel that season 23 is in the "bad" category; I feel that it's overall a mixed bag, especially since while many of the episodes are terrible, many of them are also incredible and feel like ones from the classis series.
