Banjo karaoke (Banjo provides the melody with karaoke track in background.) 3-finger style with picks. G tuning but with capo on 1st fret, so technically G# tuning, key of G#.

G tuning, capo 4th fret, key of B. Couldn’t find a banjo version of this song (other than someone playing rolls over chords,) so I worked up this arrangement. G tuning required that the chorus be played an octave higher, which I’m not crazy about. I suppose I could try it in a different tuning, but it’ll have to wait. My brain needs a break - in the form of a different tune! 🤪

G tuning, tuned up 1/2 step, capo at 2nd fret (key of B flat). Played on Pisgah Rambler Dobson banjo, 3-finger style without picks. Backing track is Strum Machine.

While I may not be100% happy with this recording, I AM 100% sick of trying to get a perfect recording of it! (Can you tell that marketing, merchandising and advertising are not my specialty? 😂)

A friend of mine gave me this banjo that she found when cleaning out her Dad’s house. He never played it, so he said she could give it to me. 😊 It was covered in dust, had a tension tuner on the 5th string, and a Mylar head. A more mellow version than my previous post of this tune. Played without metal fingerpicks. Tuning is: f A# F A# C (Double C tuning, tuned down one whole step.) Sorry for the previously incorrect tuning listed!

This is a somewhat shortened version, because for the life of me I cannot master the left hand fingering on the 1 of the final 3 chords. Also, I couldn’t find a good backing track for it, so I’m playing along with the original recording, so I end it just before the very brief drum solo. This tune wore me out! I’m too old to work this hard! This is in G tuning.
