my AP Seemanni died from a mistake that i nade where i let the spider crawl ontop of the 10 gallon and i underestimated hiw fast it was and it splattered and died after 30 mins after i was trying to treat it

You can get any color of hens you want I recommend a black or a gold if you just go down to home Depot or your local hardware store and pick out your favorite color

Why would you choose to flood out their borrow than tickle method? This is so bad to do especially if it's a female with an eggsac.

Yeah cant say im overstruck on this method. Altho they can get naturally flooded this is not very natural. Altho if the weathers been very dry then they may actually appreciate this 👍🕷️

If you want them to keep just take one male one female and breed release adults and majority of slings back to wild and keep captive breeding from there 👍🕷️

What about a juvenile Mexican Red Knee? I'm suspecting my new girl is about to molt, but unsure. Just got her (and three other tarantulas at once -- never owned any beforehand). She's been hiding inside of her half cork bark hude for about a week now, with a thin layer of webbing on both sides of the entrance -- enough to block anything going in or out, and no tunnels dug to come out. I'm pretty sure she's preparing for a molt, but us that normal?

How long does it take cuz my Mexican red knee has gone bold on her but n it's pertty big she been like this for like 3-4 weeks . I'm new to having tarantulas I have 3 now and haven't seen any of them molt yet

Great ideas. I actually just went to my local hardware store on a whim and they had a bunch of scrapped cuts of acrylic sheet and they sold me like five 48"x "6 strips for $5. Figure I spend $20 on a cutter And some cement. Bam. 5-6 enclosures for $25 ! (Just need to find hinges

My tarantula got Hairs n dust stuck on her spinneret Just one of them, It was super Tangled & I couldn’t get it off. it’s leaking from her Spinneret, It looked better today happened yesterday. But I seen her spinneret leaking still tho as of now n Now her Leg has a Fluid coming out now, Should I put Cornstarch to save the Leaking? and Put in the ICU? I need some advice this video helped but I Don’t know if I should put it on the spinneret On her Butt.

Does it make a difference if you pile the dirt to one side when you build the enclosure? I've seen some keepers mound the substrate all to one side to make a steep slope for their t.

I live in north east utah on the base of the mountain and I personally think the Aphonopelma iodius is one of the most Beautiful, friendly, and slow tarantula there is.

My 6 year old B. Vagans suffered a bleeding wound on her abdomen close to a leg this past weekend. I had to act quickly. Lots of water to keep her hydrated of course and here is what I used for the wound because I didn’t have cornstarch in the house: First - a bit of blood stopper powder (it’s a powder from my first aid kit designed to coagulate and cease bleeding. I have tons of it on hand for all of the creatures in my house including the humans. Works like a charm) For a Tarantula I agree with using just a tiny bit with a Q-tip. Next- To close the wound, EYELASH ADHESIVE. Never use superglue. That stuff is so toxic. However a wound as bad as my girl suffered needed to be sealed so I used the least toxic but strongest glue I know of- a high end false eyelash adhesive (read the ingredients and make sure it’s a good, safe product). These glues are designed for delicate areas and thin lash hairs, pretty much go on invisible, dry almost instantly, are safe enough to put on human eyelids and they hold shockingly well. Unlike superglue, if your T DOES get a leg stuck in the few seconds it takes for it to dry, this glue can be undone much more easily without hurting your T. Finally- once finished, I also used a tiny dab of a topical anti bacterial gel because her wound was pretty bad. Again, just a minuscule dab applied with a Q-tip. Don’t overdo it. For most of that day I honestly did not think she’d pull through however it’s been a few days now and she’s perked back up and is actually climbing and moving around like normal again. I am now very confident she will pull through. Thank you for making these videos. The Tarantula community is the best. ❤️

I have a black widow spider living in a branch that looks like Cthulhu from the Lovecraft stories in the front yard of my house, and she is named Atropa after the member of the Three Fates who cuts the thread of life, but she's called Atty for short. She guards our lemon balm from intruders and is a joy to have (she thinks my dad is the coolest, she keeps him company while he's watering the front garden during the evening. Yours is so patient, waiting for her supper.
