  • My A. genic. is in heavy premolt, so I though I would shoot a video.

    I just bought a 3 year old Arizona blonde today....how many meal worms do u recommend i feed her and how often ?....please help

      BIG JOE mine is almost 3.5 years old. I feed her one to two good size crickets a week. She never would take superworms and they would burrow and worry me. Is yours a sexed female ?

    • @bigjoe2271
      @bigjoe2271 5 лет назад

      Shes a female... shes eating a super worm every other day....but i sit there and watch her eat it...i dont just throw it in and walk away

    • @adventuresofmoonman
      @adventuresofmoonman 5 лет назад

      BIG JOE I don’t either they burrow as soon as I drop them in or try to at least. My T doesn’t care for them at all. I feed mine on a schedule same time every time. You feed every other day? So I take it she isn’t very shy and is a good eater then

    My Striped knee is less fat, about 6-7 inches and is all bolty (plus refuses to eat). Is that premolt?

    how many days do i have to wait to feed them after they molt?

    • @tarantulasam7609
      @tarantulasam7609  5 лет назад

      sapnu puas depends. As a sling, a few days. As an adult, a week or two.

      I fed my pink toe ( juvenile) 3 days later. Soon as his fangs darken to black they said you could feed them. So i did. The pet store must not have fed it much at all. He molted 3 days before i had him exactly 2 weeks. Since then ive had him 16 days and he's eaten 6 crickets. 4 small and 2 large. The latge ones were almost the size of his head and abdomen. Im sure it depends on allot of things, the temp, the environment and maybe just the tarantulas overall demeanor. True, ive kinda power fed mine, but they say when there hungry they eat

    I am a new T owner. I have an aphonopelma anax.,I have had him a little over a month,and he molted about a week before I got him. He is going bald,and I THINK he may be molting,but then again ,I am wondering if its stress. I moved him to a new enclosure a few days ago, and he was running around like crazy, climbing on the glass. He hasnt wanted to eat for a few days,so,,another reason I think he may be in pre molt.
    I am just hoping he isn't stressed out. Any helpful info???? I have read a lot about molting and am excited and hoping this is what is happening.
    Thanks.

    • @tarantulasam7609
      @tarantulasam7609  6 лет назад

      RoanPonie I doubt it is about to molt. Aphonopelma from the US grow slowly. I betting it’s stressed. I bet it’s balding because it is kicking off its hair from stress. Also, sometimes when you put a T in a new enclosure it will kick off its hair to establish its presence in the area. How big is your spider?

    • @RoanPonie
      @RoanPonie 6 лет назад

      @@tarantulasam7609 he is about 5 inches.,and, I was just watching him ,he is in a corner, grooming his legs. That's so cute. I would send a picture, but I guess I can't on here.

    • @RoanPonie
      @RoanPonie 6 лет назад

      And I have read they are very slow growing. Would the not eating just be stress too.?.

    • @tarantulasam7609
      @tarantulasam7609  6 лет назад

      If she is 5" inches, the likelihood of her molting anytime soon, considering that she molted 2 months ago, is very very very slim. Stress will cause them not to eat. Sometimes they fast and won't eat for months. There is no reason for concern if she still looks like she has a fat abdomen. If you are really worried, it may be worth throwing up a post on Arachnoboards.com or on the Tarantula Collective Facebook Page.

      Misschien gaat ze weer vervellen? Maar soms kan het ook voorkomen dat ze gewoon een tijdje niet eten en dan later ineens wel weer gaan eten. Onvoorspelbare dieren zijn het.
