You need to get that little crystal chandelier I saw. It would be perfect above your little table in the kitchen by the window and it would add sparkle. If you can't wire it, you could bring the cord up the corner and swag it over your little table by the window

I think your light bulbs are the bright white type. A warmer color would help. No idea about Italian light bulbs but in California I can find warmer LED bulbs to avoid that florescent bulb effect.
