New model 3 anytime over used taycan,

Porsche has to stay with 6 cylinders I for sure prefer my Tesla rather this Taycan

Taycan is nice but for the price I’m taking the 3 performance as a better all rounder for the $$$

Great comparison. I almost purchased the Taycan until the new 2024 M3P came out. Porsche is a great car. I just think it’s over priced. IMO.

As a Porsche High Voltage Expert, for reliability purposes, I would avoid the first gen Taycan like the plague. They're wonderful when they're not in the shop. Even though my Model 3 has many more features, it will never drive like the Taycan. Porsche's road feel is tough to beat. I have higher hopes for the EV Macan and "Hybrid" 911.

Frankly I'm shocked that anyone has the extra cash to throw away on Porsches but now that they are the same price... The Porsche is STILL lacking a bunch of features lol. Seriously how does this world work.

Annoying that you can't use referral money towards subscriptions (like FSD sub) anymore but overall a better program for sure.

I would choose the Tesla for several reasons.charging network, repair cost and newer technology. If you need as Porsche to get lucky or keep her happy..tip...find a new squeez!!

Real world range for the Taycan with the larger battery is around 250 miles, Tesla is around 280. At 80% we are talking about 200 vs 230, so not a huge difference. Most Taycan buyers generally could care less about quarter mile time or on track performance, they buy it because it's a Porsche and they can afford it...model 3 would never be on their wish list to begin with.

Specs and performance might be tilted towards Tesla but quality feel is no contest.

The battery in that taycan is a liability. Would not touch that technology

I snagged a model 3 performance 2024 and now after nearly 10k miles I’m considering also picking up the Porsche just to see the difference something about the taycan is just attractive though I love my model 3

Tesla fan here, but I would pick the Porsche unless the milage is crazy. There are A LOT of Highlands on the road already 😅

When you pick up your main squeez in a Taycan you know the rest of the night will be wonderful!

the taycan's charge curve is wayyyyy better than the model 3. it holds 150kw deep into the pack. it does not taper off at "20-30%" like tesla. the '25 taycan is similar, and it holds 215kw at 70% 😂 the only thing that comes close that tesla has is the cybertruck, and that hasnt been fully unlocked yet

only thing Taycan wins is in handling and comfort, which you couldnt compare. practicality wise Tesla wins handsdown.

I've driven the turbo s. No autopilot, no Regen, no supercharging, no range and more. The differences are pretty huge. But cool comparison video.

Nice video, I think I still made the right decision, I'm picking up a 2024 M3P next week and the used Porsche Taycan prices you showed are $12,000 more than I'm paying for my new Tesla. So not really the same. Dyno tests on the Tesla are also showing actual power output is over 600 HP and it's lighter so it doesn't surprise me the Tesla is much faster.

The new Model 3 Performance will do 2.9 without roll-out, with roll-out subtracted around 2.7.

Mate, at least learn some basics about the Porsche before you start talking.

Great video and nice driving! Curious why you weren’t taking the proper way when exiting the track and instead you continued through the normal track onto the skid pad and then exited. If you watch when the Porsche Taycan exits, he is using the correct path for exiting the track. Not accusing you of anything, just wasn’t sure if you had a reason for doing that, didn’t know or if that was the direction given to you by this trackday organization. I’ve never seen anyone exit like that and seems like a potential safety issue.

Which is better for track use between 2024 vs older(22/22) models?

Build quality is still an issue, which surprised me. The gigafactory was supposed to resolve all the problems. But nope. Body panels still misaligned and the tail lights not being flush at the corners on the new Model 3 are a huge problem.
