I always wanted to make a wooden ship model and now know why I won't. I'm too lazy for this so glad to see you do it.

This is a beautiful model. Thank you for sharing. It's been a decade since I've built a model ship, and after trying woodworking for several years, I think I'm going to order this model today.

Very nice build... I wonder if this will help you if you ever come to repaint, or build another... Original paint scheme When the ship was launched in the 1760s, the hull was mostly black with varnished timber above the water line. The orlop deck was a pale creamy stone color, and the surgeon's cabin and other small cabins on that deck were two shades of blue. Battle of Trafalgar When the ship participated in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, Captain Thomas Hardy painted the ship in a combination of pale yellow and dark grey using pigments supplied by the Royal Navy, including lead white and ochre. Restored color The ship was later restored in a color called "Victory Hull Ochre", which some say is pink, terracotta, or smoked trout color, depending on the light. The color change has been controversial, with some people preferring the ship's previous mustard-orange shade. And all the rigging would have been black, because it was covered in tar or pitch, hence the name given to men of the fleet "Jolly Jack Tars". This was because their feet and hand were always covered in the black stuff.

how many times have you built the same kit? I built the same kit and found that the rigging plan was confusing, so I modified base on a plan of another kit

Great stuff, nicely done. Can I suggest the rail could be laid flat erroneously? Also, whilst I appreciate it would be more fiddly, if the rail was laid into the tiles, the effect would be more realistic.

I loved it when you used the plain terracotta tiles alone, but once the remaining steps were completed I was sold on the finished results. Love it!

5:09 The sewing pins didn't really help out since when I tried taking them out, the floor board cleat came out at well. Other than that, the video was helpful when there were gaps ins the instruction manual. The closeups of certain parts were also very useful.

When I was in San Antonio, Texas, they had busses that were made to look the trolley cars from San Francisco. It was interesting. I got the ride the "trolley" busses a few times. It was fun.

Thats a must have for me. I see Amazon has it for $120. I've been scale modeling for 45 years and I'm always looking for new subjects. I see they have another streetcar, and a paddle wheel steamer. Looks Nice!

Manufacture of these sets and the subsequent construction by hobbyists is a a marvel and a tribute to the design and construction of the original ships. I didn't think there would be so much initiative that you would have to apply to the set.
