Do I need to put that cover back on around the battery???
Thank you!
Thank you for your help
Thank you!
Youre welcome!
I did this and now my backup camera does not work. Any recommendations?
Thank you so much. I very happy to come across your video on how to do this. I just changed mine today and it worked
Im glad it helped!
Doesn't the car need to be in neutral when you turn it off so when you turn it on again when you finish its starts runing in neutral
Thank you sooo much
You’re welcome!
Is that a silencer on a drill?! Sweet!!!
😁
Thanks G!
You’re welcome!
5.75 quarts??
Yes sir
Do you think if I don’t have the battery sleeve it’ll mess anything up ?
For the 2018 hybrid accord, the 12v battery is group 51 (not 57 or 51R) and it’s not the same as the regular Accord. Double check the battery size first before proceed with the steps. Great video BTW. Another thing I would add is put something plastic like terminal cover over the terminals as soon as connection wire is off to avoid accidental discharge
I was told you can jump start this car, is that true?
Thanks for a great video. Made the job very easy.
You are welcome!
Dude you’re insane you can get it done for 175 you’re trying to rip people off
I’m assuming they will get it done at a dealer, which would be a higher price
@@str8oil understandable 😂😂
Will you help me thank you so much. I appreciate that.
Your welcome
It’s very very helpful video thanks maannn
Welcome!
5 seconds to build oil pressure without a prefilled oil filter. Immediate oil pressure with a prefilled oil filter. Facts.
The rings arent even hot, expanded or under pressure to score the cylinder walls anyway.
Very helpful
5.6 quarts and not 4.5😂 Let's torque the bolt to 27 ft pounds. Tell us where you work. We want to avoid this place.
The new generation Ridgeline takes 5.75. This specific year/generation Ridegeline takes 4.5. Look it up.
@@str8oil Okay you need to tell us which year you're working on. The oil stain from the drain plug might be from not properly torquing? 27 ft pounds.
Thank you 🙏🏽
Youre welcome!
Some mechanic say honda ECU has auto relearn system... Its still trying to re learn that theres new battery installed. Same with adding new lights or removing fewa you get plenty error messages.. im not sure about the relearn stuff.
Most of the time, driving the vehicle after performing a task like that will reset the lights…but you will have to manually reset the clock/radio
Thanks
Thank you for watching!
Thank you for taking the time to make this. Really helped me out! ❤
Your welcome!
To find it after you reset do you just push that button on the dash...Thanks
Thank you for watching!
Worked perfectly 🤘🚙
Glad to hear that!
My 2016 Honda accord has 135k miles and no leaks like that or if any!! But I do have the abs module lights on which need to replace but that’s pricey too!
Nice!
Thank you very much!!!!
Thank you for watching!
I replaced it at 100k
Nice!
The audio wont work. Keeps saying push and hold power
Did you try pushing and holding the power button to the radio while the car is running?
Bro you saved me from a heart attack lmao i thought i broke it again
😅
I think the OEM Honda (lead acid) battery is pretty good. Our 2018 HR-V just recently started to show signs of battery fatigue after 6 years. EDIT: I love how the negative terminal screw is angled upwards making it easier to loosen. Somebody had their thinking cap on when they designed that.
Good
Great job.....how much was the dealership battery?
Right at $180!
@str8oil Not bad for a dealership price since all comparables are at that price point. Just installed an Autozone $140 one in a 2016 Accord. The battery was manufacturered a month ago.
Hi - Will you lose the presets when changing the battery that way? is there any way to prevent those dashboard lights from happening (like a backup battery) and not lose any of the presets so that the car need no recalibrating? Please show us if there is. Thanks
You will lose the presets unless you have what’s called a “battery saver”
@@str8oil thanks - how do we properly use that?
I DID IT! I'm the shit. Second battery replacement I've done. First was a Cavalier Seriously though, I hate socket wrenches. I would've done better with a wrench if I couldn't have a drill Thank you for the video ✌️
Great job!
Next task , learn to boil an egg
WOW! I am grateful for your help! It worked!
Im glad it helped!
Thank you for making this video
You are welcome!
Mine shows 50% and 06..what does 06 mean?
Im not sure what the 06. Does it show next to the oil life?
Doesn't help if you lose the code
Watch entire video I explain how to get the code if you lost it
After replacing the battery and driving, all the lights stayed on. Car drives fine, stops fine but all the lights are still on.
Great video. Very helpful. It was on a sticker on the outer side of the glove box. Thank you!
Def dropped a bracket but hey car works now 😂
Glad to hear it worked 😅
I did everything correct. However, I didn’t really drive it after. would I still be good to go if I drive it the next day?
Yes you will be fine If you drive It the next Day, shouldn’t have any issues
Many thanks 🙏 👍👍👍☺️
Youre welcome!
For myself, I do it for subarus cause they have oiling issues, and a lot of them are vertical, so you can easily screw it in with oil in it. For the car in my pfp its a nissan and is installed through the engine bay and is "upside down," so no, im not gonna fill it and dump oil all over the back of the engine. The important part is getting oil on the ring that prevents the rubber gasket on the filter from sticking to the mating surface. If it sticks and you dont notice and go to put a new one on you will piss oil down the road.
Is this Tire pressure monitoring a standard feature? I am seeing on Honda website that we need to add HPD Package in order to have tire pressure monitoring system....and those packages are $2000+ to add LoL
Every new Honda Pilot/Passport/Odyssey/Ridgeline comes with this TPMS package as standard! You should not have to upgrade to the HPD package to get it
@@str8oil yes true for standard, for individual tire pressure monitoring, it would require HPD Package where you will see what tire is being pressure loss V.S the standard one will just show you this symbol (...) means one of your tires is being pressure loss..
Please don't trust this guy there is a reason why we pre-fill it
I’ve never had an issue 😯
The kid is an idiot the purpose of prefilling the oil filter is to save the oil pump in your bearings in the younger generation that wants to work on their cars should not take his advice
